How Many Trick or Treaters?

We usually have between 60 and 70. So far, we had about 20. Nice weather here so we should have quite a few more trick-or-treaters. :)

Back in the late 1980's, we would barely have 10 kids, but now there are more younger families with children here. :)

I think we're going to have around 200. We've already gone through 12 bags of candy and we're hitting the snack bags of pretzels and crackers and 'regifting' the candy that my kids don't like.

In the five years I have lived here, I have only had one trick-or-treater. My granddaughter has already been over so I will have my usual 0. I do have candy on hand just in case.

It's been much quieter than I expected, so far. We've had about 30, but we have a ton of real littles around here, and they usually come out the minute it gets dark.

I got candy for my dad's house too (first Halloween without my mom). I got 200 of the nice sized bags of M & M's (not the little ones) but he was worried about running out, and made me go back for more.

We get between 60-80. That is a lot considering we live in a rural community with minimum of 1 acre lots per home, we have a 500 foot driveway, our house is not visible from the road and the kids can only ToT for 2 hours. When the kids were younger, we got over 100.

I have had only about 15 or 20 so far. I'm sitting on the front porch with a beer, the candy, and my laptop.

I hope to get a few more, but it's mostly older people and first time homebuyers (ie. younger couples, without kids) in our neighborhood.

We have about 500 kids. It seems like everyone and their brother comes to our subdivision. We even have adults with bags that are smoking. They get the really cheap candy. I can't believe all the people that are driving around following their children. Why can't they just walk?

We just ran out of the gift bags, so down to just candy. Some people have told us we are the first stop. They don't want us to run out of the bags.

ETA: We had 60 bags made up.

This is our first Halloween at our new house and there are just a couple of houses here so far and we haven't had one ghost or goblin. :confused3 Maybe by this time next year we'll have more kids as the rest of the new homes will be built by then. :goodvibes

First Halloween in a new neighborhood. The next door neighbor said we'd get about 100 but with only 30 minutes of "official" Trick or treat time left I've had less than 30......I'm making the next door neighbor take this candy off my hands!

We had one yesterday afternoon. Our count goes down every year, so this year we didn't even buy candy, just handed out a fundraiser candy bar. Mom had decided she'd just buy as many as needed to be handed out (convenient timing for my sister to be selling...)

Our first year here - so far we have had 3 groups for a total of eight kids :confused3

What - other than eat - will I do with all the candy

Well it's going on 8 o'clock and we've had a grand total of .........

drum roll please

ZERO kids. :(

I didn't expect many but NONE?? I'm surprised to say the least.

We have 50 so far, 7:48 Eastern time, our record in 10 years is 52 so we are close.

I just got back from the store! I gave out 3 "super size" (9.99 at Target) bags of candy, plus two boxes of candy bars, and two smaller bags of candy bars! All of my neighbors are out, so I did a "neigborhood run."

The good thing is that I won't be tempted with leftover candy.

I got 8 of those huge bags and we just ran out. I think they have about 100+ pieces per bag and we gave each kid a couple of pieces so I am guessing in the 400 to 500 range. At one time we had a group of over 50 in the yard. Its a nice night so I think that makes the number higher.

We used to have about 250, but now it's only around 60. For those of us who are original homeowners, the kids are all grown up. :sad1: Even the dog doesn't care anymore and stops barking after the first few times that the bell rings.

I kind of miss the old days when I'd cook Halloweenies or Spookghetti before the kids ran out of the house. :)

So far we have had around 40. I figure we will get around 60 by the end of the evening. :)
