How many to book for?

I will soon be at the 90 day booking window for ADRs.

Two of our party are still negotiating whether or not they will be with us on vacation.

Do I book a table for six then cancel two if they cannot join us on vacation?

Do I book six and just show up with four?

Do I book six and ask two people from the standby line to join us?

Do I book four then request two extra when I know they are coming?

Do I book four and just show up with six?

If it were me I worry about myself. Let them take care of there on ress.
But that's me I have no patients for ppl whon can't make up there mind.
I don't want to lose out cause of them. It's happen to me back in the day and never again now.

a couple things....its easier to take away usually than add....

maybe figure out which ones, if they end up coming, they would want to go on the MOST.....and then try your best to get a size for them, but if it comes down to it for the others, go ahead and get a table for your family......I know that might make no sense, but do your best and they're outta luck if they can't make their minds up......

You can not just call and change the number of people on a ressie, that is not how the system works. You would have to cancel and re book or just show up with more or less people and hope that it isn't an issue. Sometimes, for example if you booked for a party of 3 and showed up with 4, it's no big deal at all because you already would be seated at a 4 top table but in this case it changes the size table you will need.

I would tell them if they haven't made up their minds by the day before your day to make ADR's they are on their own... no way would I mess up my ressies because they are indecisive.

I'm kinda in the same situation since we won't know until 2 wks before our trip if DH can come or not. When I made the ressie I only made them for 3 online. When I called and explained to the CM that I didn't know if DH was coming she said that I was better off making them for 4 and just showing up without him and letting them know that he wasn't able to make it.
She said its easier to take away a person when you check in then to add them on the spot.
I did have to cancel them all and rebook for a party of 4 instead of 3 and was able to get the same places/days just the time was off less than an hour difference.

The only thing that I had a problem was getting 1900 park fare for a party of 4. I already have a party of 3 so if DH shows up and they can't seat him with us. He's won't mind having CS and spending some time off taking pictures by himself. He would never want our girls to miss out on that expierence.
