How many times have u gone this year??

I am with 'can't wait'...
How do you all afford it? The airline tickets must wipe you all out?
I was just talking to my husband the other day and he mentioned possing this question. I would LOVE to go at least 1x a year. I am looking at 1x every 4-5 years! :sad1: My last trip in June '05 was the 1st time in 10 years...and we make good $$$$.
If anyone could enlighten us???? :confused3

just one lovely time this year. If I had more money I'd go again with free dining. Savings for June 2006 currently. :cool1:

I think flexibility is the key!! We went down in June and were there for 3 weeks, we were also going to Vero and Universal so we knew we were going to drive. I always keep my eye open for good fares and have the airlines email you weekly specials. I got airfare for $125.pp in Oct. We also try to travel in off peak times ( value season). We get AP's and I use Disney Dollars to pay for that. Anytime I can put a few dollars in my Disney fund I do!! Good luck!

Maybe 25 or 30 times, but then I've been traveling a lot and not able to go as often as usual.

And no, believe it or not - it never gets boring.
You can go everday if you want to! You just live around the corner from Disney! Lucky you! But most of us here on the board have many hours of driving or fly and whether to drive or fly...it ain't cheap!

But I think I am the biggest Disney nut here!! I live in Michigan and I have gone 5X already!! How crazy is that! And I am thinking of taking my parents to Disney as their Xmas gift in December! So that would be my 6X!! That's so crazy! And we are attending a wedding in Anaheim, California next weekend and we are doing Disneyland too! So that would be a total of 7X of Disney "Magic!" :wizard:

Just call me a Disney Addict! I need help!! :teeth:

Man am I jealous! I live too far to travel to WDW much so I've not gone yet but will be going in May 2006. We usually only go do Disneyland since it's much closer.

It will be two times this year. We were down there in March and going next weekend.....I am lucky to be gong two times in one year.... :sunny:

Four or five times, but that's because we live two hours away! :goodvibes We never do daytrips, though--we always spend at least one night.

We plan to go at least 3 more times this year--a weekend each in October, November, and December.

I went in July and Im going agian in Dec. Ive Also been at DL & DCL for the last 2 weeks.

Have been twice so far and am heading down for my third trip first week of September!   Can't wait!!!!

Twice

Animal Kingdom Lodge in May
Pop Century in August

went twice the year before. Next year, we're definately going to Boardwalk in Feb. and somewhere else in October. Possibly next year we'll aim for a third. :)

Annual Passes seriously cut down on cost of lodging. When I stayed at AKL in May, I paid $139 a night as opposed to $2-something or so with an AP rate. When I stayed at Pop in August, I paid $77/night as opposed to $99. My next trip to Boardwalk, I'm paying $235/night as opposed to rack rate of $305.

Low fare airlines like Jet Blue and SW always run deals. I only travel during value or moderate season. I would never, ever go during peak season. The crowds are there then and it costs a fortune. We don't eat a lot of expensive meals when there, partly because we have very simple tastes.

We use a towncar to get to and from the airport (cheaper than a cab) and don't rent a car when we are there, so there's no rental car and gas costs to deal with either. One of our biggest expenses is usually kenneling our two dogs while we're away.

We live frugally at home. Clipping coupons, eating cheap, not buying things unless we need to. Travel is a priority for us, over things like nights at the movies, fancy dinners, new clothes, electronics, new cds etc. and so forth.

We've been 4 timeson overnight stays with a couple day trips in between and plan on an Octo and Dec overnight trip! Can't wait!

We went in January and again in May. Our next trip is Oct 1st. We can't wait
We stayed in the Wilderness Lodge Villas in May and we will be staying in the cabins in FW for our Oct 1st trip. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Zero

We've been lucky to go once a year since 2000 but we're skipping 2005. But, we'll be back in ..... 421 days.

My DH travels for a living, and using Southwest all the time. Therefore we accumulate free passes, which are his to use. So we always have free airfare. We buy annual passes, so we also get discounts on the rooms. We use American Express, so we use points to get a rental car. So all in all, the trip doesn't end up costing us all that much money. We also use our Disney Visa Card, so we always have rewards points to use in the gift shop, plus we get a discount there from the annual pass. He always stays in Hilton properties when he travels, so accumulates points there also. So if we want to really make it a cheap trip, we stay at the Hilton near Downtown Disney and don't have to pay for that either! We are very lucky. That's why are are headed down next week for our third trip this year. Might get one more in too, if we start planning now! :cool1:
