I keep two matching towels in the bathroom, so my DH and I share those since they match, there is no real way to tell them apart. He does all the laundry and usually switches out the towels about twice a week.

I personally use two towels whenever possible--one for my face and hair and one for my body and I don't swap those meaning the towel I use for my body I will only use for my body and the towel used for my hair I will only use for my hair until it's time to get new towels. My husband only uses one.

I long ago took over the duties of washing the towels. We have a ton of towels (consequences of each of us going to college and then living separately til marriage) but we get new towels every 3-5 days on average.

We are each free to get new towels whenever we want so there are times when I'm swapping out quicker than my husband and vice versa. I do keep track (because we have a bunch of colors) of the towel my husband is using so I know when he's switched to a new towel. The towels are always hung up to dry and we also use the fan every time during a shower and for a decent amount of time after a shower.

I follow the directions on the signs in hotel rooms and hang up my towels for reuse.

In almost every case, housekeeping takes them and replaces them with fresh towels.

That's mostly been my experience as well...I'll hang up to reuse but I'll come back to a brand new towel. Every now and then though they do actually leave the used towel up where I left it so I can reuse it.

about 3 times. I hang it up to dry after I use it, and I only dry myself with it when I have just gotten out of the shower, so I am clean, how dirty could it get? If you don't reuse your bath towel, do you reuse a hand towel?

I change towels probably once a week. We don't have a lot of towels - we're a family of 5 and I think we only own 4 towels (two for my and DH's bathroom, one for my daughter's bathroom, and one for the bathroom that the boys share). We don't use washcloths so I don't think we own any of those. All of our towels are white so they can be bleached together. We are definitely minimalists!
