I am contemplating a third call to change one of our lunches to a dinner. I'm feeling a little obsessive-compulsive--why do I feel the need to keep re-thinking our dining plans?? Just wondering if I'm the nly one . . .

I never planned ADR's without calling at least 3 times. When I was making my ADR's for our trip in July, the CM told me I called 8 times! :scared:

Three is nothing.

But it's not always to change, often it's more of completing my plans. I've never booked more than 3 ADRs in one phone call I think.

I've already called more than 3 times and I'm not finished yet.

Some calls have been to change, some have been to add new ADRs, and some have been to try for ones that have been all booked up (Candlelight Processional and Fantasmic Package).

Normally once or twice, but this year I've called at least three times, probably more. :)

They can really tell how many times you've called??? :headache:
Eek.

If you look at the total number of times I've called, it's ridiculous. Because sometimes I'd call just to make one ADR because that's the only one I was sure about. A few days later I'd call back and make another one, etc.
So while there were only a few actual changes, there were a ton of calls :rolleyes1 (including ones to check to see if there were any cancellations for places we were interested in).

I voted "more than three times", but I think you should have added an, "I've lost count" choice :rotfl: because that'd be more accurate. I called again today, I made some/one/two changes, I said, "And now I am DONE calling Disney Dining!", I hung up, looked at my spreadsheet again, and had to walk away from the phone to keep from calling back!

Oh, hehe, they keep a record on how many times you call?

I think I called 3 times for my ADRs, but not to change them. It was because often when I called, the place I wanted would not be available and I didn't have a backup. So I would always say, "OK, I will call back later." :cool1:

:goodvibes I called about three times before we left for our trip!!!! you are not the only one

I voted for 3 times. Today I called for the 3rd and last time. I made all my ADR's at once, then changed WCC to 'Ohana and just today changed 'Ohana to 1900 PF. For some reason there was never a problem with all the other ADR's I made we never wanted to change the first 4. It's the 5th one that kept changing!!

As I approach a trip (as one is coming up on the 29th) - I probably make 10 to 20 calls. I had no idea they KNOW, though!:scared1:

Yeesh. I figure, though, I must have spent my children's college education on Disney stuff in the last 20 years - so, I deserve a few therapy sessions with Disney Dining representatives.

I have called more than thre this trip. I left an open day in our itenary then decided if i did not pick something we might not eat that night. I changed WPC to Planet Hollywood since my mom liked their menu better. Then I added the Princess Tea then called back to cancel it, my DD is so shy I don't want to spend that much if she is cling to me the whole time.

I called at least twice a day leading up to my last trip! :lmao:
I started off with what I could get (which was not that great), but in the end I got some really awsome ADR's.
There is no shame in calling as many times as you need to if it gets you what you want.

This post makes me feel better. I have changed my ADRs several times with only a few of the original ADRs left in place. Maybe because ttip will be the first DDP trip and have more to make. I don't know. At least I know I'm not the only one.

I've definitely called at least 5 times, then I would change my mind or want a different time. Then I would read the dis boards again :surfweb: and think I better change again.

All this from Australia and I am still 4 months away:eek:

I'm sure the cost of the phonecalls will be more expensive than the meals:scared1:

I don't mind though it gets me in the Disney mood:banana:

Have fun planning;)

I got what I wanted the first time I called but then I changed weeks so had to rebook. I'm certain to change my mind over the next few weeks (I can feel it slipping already) so I have at least one more call to make AND I have a cancellation to call in. I expect in the end it will be around 4 or 5 times.

I usually stick with what I make the first time. For most vacations I am planning two weeks worth of dining so I ask my family what they "Must do" and then we tweek it from there. I dont have time or the incliantion to obsess over it that much after I have made the plans. This year though I did call and make one change from home--dropped dinner at CP on July 4th in favor of lunch at LTT--I do believe that is the only time in like 10 years going at least 2 maybe 3 times per year that I called to make a change. I have however called to drop reservations while at the resort if we changed our minds and decided not to have a TS or to go off site instead.

Here's our scoop....
We plan at least 1 year in advance.
Check out new rides and rehabs.
Then decide on our resort and do our reservations.
At the 180 day mark we guess what Parks we will be in and make our dinner and lunch ADR's.
Then here's the kicker..... the Park hours come out about 3 months before our vacation....
Time to revamp our park per day schedule and most likely do a few changes.:rotfl:

Hey - if the Park hours were set in stone at the 190 day mark - then we would know at the 180 day mark where we will be and where we will eat :lmao:
