There are 3 of us, we are driving and staying in 4 different hotels (which DH is not very happy about). Are smaller suitcases which means more easier to transport from hotel to hotel or are larger suitcases (less) easier? Also, what do you guys pack your food and other stuff (beach towels, camera, ponchos, medicine bag, etc...) in...boxes, bags, suitcases?? I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for DH because he's not a happy camper right now with all the resort hopping...3 of which are in Orlando!! Thanks !!

We have the Mickey 3-piece luggage set and also another medium size rolling suitcase. It's amazing how much stuff you can fit into those things!! Anyway, I will be using the biggest one for all my boys (3 of them who will be about 5, 3 and 1 at the time of our trip) clothes. Then dh and I will each use a medium one. And the 4th bag will be for toiletries. I will also have a diaper bag, and then my Disney Logo Tote Bag that I'll use to carry stuff around the parks. Then, we'll have one more large bag filled with snacks. We'll be there for 13 nights-all at POFQ. (But we'll be staying one night each way at motels on the ride down and back.) I am probably going to have to do laundry half-way through the trip (even though I don't want to!) I just don't want to pack 2 weeks worth of clothes-that's A LOT. lol

Anyhoo, hope this helps a little. :)

I've been thinking about this very topic. We are a family of three and this trip we are taking along my daughter's friend. In the past we've each taken a piece of luggage plus I've carried another piece which included toiletries. We are driving and I have a small car. With luggage alone it looks as if we will have 5 pieces (medium size bags). Plus, I'll be carrying our snack food in a box or another piece of luggage. PLUS, we also have to think about our swim gear. I usually take our beach bag with towels, sunscreen, etc. in that. Then I take a bag to put inside the car which has all my daughters things to do in the car. WOW, writing all this out sure seems like a lot!!! :crazy2: I may need to rethink this issue. :scratchin

We have the three piece mickey set as well....

Dh and I share the larger of the cases, our two dd's share the smaller and the carry on bag is for the family toiletries. We also have to take a duffle bag with diapers, cameras, another collapsed duffle bag and 'stuff'. We drive so luggage is not too much of a concern, but we like to travel as light as possible. Dh only packs a few pairs of pants and a few pairs of shorts and two shirts, then he insists he has to buy new shirts when he gets there (watch out villains store!)

lol, this is his pathetic attempt at light packing. at the end of the trip I whip out my collapsed duffle to pack dh's stuf home in. I think it's just because he loves getting new Disney shirts! ::yes::

Last year my mom had a large suitcase and I have a four piece luggage set. The large one was for myself (and toiletries pack in gallon sized zip lock bags) the medium was for the girls, the pilot case was for diapers and wipes. Our swimsuits and towels were packed with our clothes. I had a carryon with camera, tickets, wallet etc, and the girls had a backpack (one between the two of them) that had crayons, snacks, etc. I believe my mom had a carryon.

We flew and it wasn't that big of a deal as you get two checked bags and one carry on per ticketed passenger. We did the curbside check in and the driver of our car got the bags from the luggage claim for us.

I did have to buy another suitcase for the way home. We bought WAY too much stuff. I will take it this year in my luggage as it is collapsed. I can elimnate the piece for diapers though!!! Whohooo!!

There are 6 of us and we used 4 suitcases. Dh and I shared the big one, ds-16 had his own, ds-14 had his own and the little ones 2 & 4 shared. I stuck diapers for the baby in everyone's suitcase, lol.
Our trip was for 2 weeks but we are DVC members and the 2 bdrm we stayed in had a washer and dryer so I could pack more lightly knowing I could wash what I needed to.

Hi we are a party of 3 Me my DD 10 and my DS 7 I use a Medium rolling suitcase and each kid has their own Pilot case .. we each bring a backpack as a carry on and that is it. so 3 checked and 3 carryons
