how many steps?

That's me too! My hubby refers to me at Disney (not so lovingly) as "Commander Reed!" We don't go that often so I want to get my money's worth! (and since this will be our most expensive trip yet....I see a world of hurt coming for someone)
Are we related? DD (15) and I (old) are doing a girls only trip. She will be dragging me behind her for 8 solid days. I have yet to tell her. I will be interested to see how many steps this trip. We are going July 4th week. My guess is less steps due to crowds. I think we do more walking when crowds are lower. We tend to run from side to side of the park. Hitting highlights in each area then going back through each area again. For us anyway, we seem to do more steps with lower crowds. Never less than 15 miles at least since I have been tracking.

Wore my Fitbit on our March trip and we averaged 20K steps the days we parkhopped. 15-17k days we didn't. We did stay at POFQ which reduced our resort steps considerably.

I don't count steps - I track mileage. We typically do between 8-15 miles a day.

Was curious as to our steps per day. Yesterday was our travel day. We hit Epcot at 1:15 but this also includes a 2 hour flight. 21,242 steps and 10.04 miles. I will try and post daily results for those who are interested. My wife uses her fit bit and I use my iPhone.

I wore my Fitbit charge in May-usually averaged 20,000 steps of so per day but one day we hit 31,000-that was the day we walked to and from MK from BLT and then park hopped to Epcot-our feet were tired that night lol

That's a lot of walking. Yesterday my son and I did blizzard beach and would loved to have seen how many flights of stairs we climbed. I obviously didn't take my iPhone with us.

We hit dtd at 3 in the afternoon and still managed 15,000 steps. I also tend to look at miles walked over the steps taken. Not sure why but I think I just understand better when I see 10 miles instead of x amount of steps.

I remember hitting nearly 67k steps on my first day at Epcot back in January.

Averaged roughly 50k each day for the week.

Oh boy, those hills at Dorney are killer! Nothing at Disney can compare but AK does have some inclines.

Your post instantly transported me, mentally, to the area by the Sea Dragon :)

You're right. Disney has nothing that compares to this, unless you count the ramp to the Monorail.

For our 7 night trip, I logged 133,214 steps - avg of 19,000 per day!

I think you're doing something wrong. To help you out, allow me to inform you that the quickest path from Test Track to Mission: Space does NOT include World Showcase.

Has anyone worn a fitness tracker during your day at the park? I really want to enjoy our upcoming trip and would like to be healthier before we go so I'm starting my "training". Wondering about how many steps you've accumulated on tour days at the parks. I'm totaling planning to wear mine while we're there too!thanks

I use a step counter app on my phone rather than a fit bit. When we went on out last trip, we averaged between 16,000 to 20,000. One day at MK (we did very close to rope drop, then did a mid-day break, then went back to MK for EMH until 2Am), we did close to 32,000 steps. Both DH and I were within 1000 steps of one another, so I don't think my app was really inaccurate by that much. I couldn't believe it was so high that day (and I didn't even die!).

We are all about walking vs taking transportation, but that's just us. Some days I get up to 30,000+ especially if we do 3 parks (we seem to wind up at Epcot and Hollywood Studios and do that walk back and forth) but the least is 20,000 and then 30,000 is the max. Just all depends.

We were in the 15-17,000 steps ranges in our trip last January, but that may be lower than some since we have young kids. I hit 23,000 on one day.

Ughhhh don't remind me, we're doing a day trip next week and my son is insisting on riding, haha!
