How many sets of Magic Bands do you have?

I thought this would be a fun thread cause I feel like I setup Magic Bands at least once a week now.

I will have 4 sets due to being a AP now. And That is over just a 12 month period. I'm thinking by this time next year I should have one of every color.

I should have 5 cause there was a set of Grey waiting for us early last year when we checked into AKL, but we already had our set me made for the test from home. They didn't give us the grey set to keep! Oh darn!

Is it me or is this kinda a waste of money!

Oh and how do AP get the cool slider? Might as well add that to the collection. I got the 2012 freebie one they were giving last year?

We will get our first set for our trip in May! But these won't be our last set! Lol! I wish they would come up with a way to reuse them for other trips!

The annual pass bands will make 4 sets for my family.

3 sets so far, but if we get an AP set, that will make us 4 since November. We have the 2013 slider. We check into BWV in 2 weeks, so maybe we get a 2014 slider then.

What a huge waste of money. At least they don't pay to overnight the magic bands anymore - just regular snail mail.

I have 2 now. Our AP set is ordered and 3 more sets are customized (2 trips with one split stay). By august I will have 18 bands for the 3 of us. We are going to put them together like a paper chain and hang them on our Christmas tree

I currently have three, with three more on the way. That will take me through May. I haven't booked my summer and fall trips yet. I know it might be wasteful, but I really like getting the MagicBands and don't mind having multiples.

I have three, pink,green and yellow. We are a family of four so in total we have 12, and an extra grey they gave us because my mom's red band malfunctioned. I linked my AP to the pink one, but I just ordered my "official" AP MB, which will also be pink.

Checking in to BLT in July so thinking of having a different colour then.

They do seem like a huge waste of money, does anyone think they will start charging for them soon once everyone gets used to how much more convenient they are than KTTW?

Yes, it really does seem like a huge waste of money.

I received a grey one when I made a reservation at POR, but then I didn't go. I have a yellow coming for our trip in May.

I don't get the whole billion dollars spent on all of this (well... a billion on postage.... ). I guess I don't see how this makes my vacation experience better. Oh, well.

We are about to get our 3rd set with AP bands. My parents will be on their 5th if they get AP bands. We were just having a discussion the other day about how wasteful it is that Disney is sending out so many. This thread really proves that.

I have 8 and have 4 more customized, with 2 stays not yet linked to my account. So by the end of the year I will have 14, that is if we do not make any last minute trips (most likely we will however).

I have one that has been used for 4 resort stays since Aug or Sept and will be used again this Sept If you don't personalize them in the MDE you won't get one in the mail

Your MDE page will say something like "your Magic Band will be waiting for you at check in" ( or something like that ) it will be the generic gray color It said that for every resort reservation and says it for the one coming up

At check in I refused it ( 4 different resorts ) each CM when questioned as to what happens to it now stated that it would just be used for another guest since at that point there is no info on it connected to me They get truck loads of these generic MBs delivered on a regular basis They aren't thrown out so not wasting anything

No judgement by me, to each his/her own I just have the color I want and since the battery is supposed to last 2 or 3 years that's good enough for me

Just an FYI...your AP is linked to all of your bands and you can use them interchangeably. You actually link your AP to your MDEx profile and all of your bands read that profile. Nothing is stored on the bands themselves.

I have eight bands and can use whichever one I want on each day of our trip. All of them access my AP and my FP+ selections, open my room door, etc.
