One elementary school for kindergarten & 1/2 of 1st grade, then we moved. Then the rest of elenentary school, middle school & high school all in the same county
I went to 7 different schools between Kindergarten and high school. 1 elementary, 4 jr. highs (we moved A LOT), 1 Ninth Grade school, and then 1 high school. The jr, high years we the absolute worst for me and I have vowed to never move my kids like that during their jr. high years. We might have one move during the boy's jr. high years, but that's it!
I went to 6 different schools from kindergarten through highschool, and I never moved once. All the different schools came from new schools being built. 2 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools. 2 must be a pattern for me because I also went to 2 colleges.
Originally posted by inaminute I went to a new school almost every year although I managed to stay in the same high school for 2-1/2 years. My parents moved around a lot--and we weren't military. Just dysfunctional.
6 schools and I was lucky with that one. I was a Navy brat so we were always moving. My sister was not as lucky, I think she went to at least 8 different schools.
I only went to 3 schools (1 elementary, 1 middle school and 1 high school).
But, my BIL went to 18 different schools until he dropped out in 10th grade. He wasn't in a military family. His mother was just an idiot and was always skipping out in the middle of the night with her 5 kids. She had a habit of not paying her rent. Needless to say he has nothing to do with her now.
