How many rooms can AP holders book?

Hi. We're planning a large family trip in Jan 2008 that will require 4 rooms. Our original plan was to have someone buy an annual passport, and book all 4 rooms in a deluxe resort using an AP discount. But is there a limit on the number of discounted rooms an AP holder can book?

New rule in August: One room per passholder, and the passholder must be on the room reservation.

Never purchase an AP for discounts that many not occur. There aren't as many AP discounts as in years past, and passholders truly get the leftovers. Disney has been pretty generous with package discounts which in many cases beat the AP rate. However there are times when package discounts are not available, such as in late June or July.
