How Many Rides on Pirates of the Caribbean are Enough? Now Completed 11/4/10

The food at chef Mickey is so-so in my opinion but we liked that Mickey and Friends come to see you at your table. The napkin thing is a cute idea!Another great update!

Thanks, Hallie!

I'm back from vacation and all caught up! Looks like you guys had a great few days. Sorry to hear the allergies hit Boo! It is hard when they hit like that. You guys got a ton done at AK. We only spent one day at AK in Dec. and it was after MVMCP and we didn't get anything done that day. :) Sorry to hear about Chef Mickey's. Crazy! Dude, why do you think we pay those crazy prices for - the characters and to skip Mickey I don't think so. :lmao:

Did I see a PTR started in your siggie? I plan to be right over! Christmastime is my absolute favorite! Hoping we will be back for Christmas 2011.

LOL, you are right. We did get a lot done.

You do see a PTR for Christmas. My oldest and I are going.

Does the TGM board have stroller swaps?

I don't think they do. I don't have any stroller-aged children, though, so I never really paid attention.

My kids love the water. They spend loads of time in the water, swimming, laughing, playing.

On Tuesday morning, we got up a little later than normal to go to Typhoon Lagoon by 10 am. We stayed there until lunch, and enjoyed the lazy river, a couple of the water slides, and the theming of the park. My son, however, does not like the wave pool. This is not a problem unless you have a mom who wants a photopass picture.

Last year, remember, Stinky got hit b a huge wave and scraped his foot. This year I got him a pair of water shoes for Typhoon Lagoon, but even with that, he refused to get into the wave pool. How funny is it that the photopass picture has me holding my 9 year old?

The photopass photographer asks if we want at picture with the big wave, and I tell her no (I don't think I could have held my weight, his weight, and get through the wave all at the same time).

I can't remember where we had lunch, but I know we went back and swam in the pool some, too.

After lunch, however, we headed to

And where was our first stop?

Yellow Lycra tights girl!

Who can resist that fine photo op? Tink will be so proud.

Glad you had a good time at the Lagoon, and I do remember that happening to your son last time. At least he was willing to get in again, even if you had to hold him. :thumbsup2

We love the water parks! My DD scraped her back there when an unexpected wave came but we didn't realize it until the blood came thru her suit:confused3 such a bad mommy...I kept saying "oh you're fine"...she actually has a scar from it:scared1:

Is that Spaceship Earth, I see ???

Maybe. . .

You know, when I was stopped there, it finally hit me what the devil you and Tink were talking about! So I had to take a picture. Blurry, yes (no flash), it was for ya'll.

I fought with him and fought with him over that, but I got him there. It was not one of my nicest moments there. I told him that sometimes a kid has to do something they really don't want to, so get his behind over there to me.

After we got out, he said, "That wasn't so bad." :headache:

Last year he scraped his foot and had to see the nurse in first aid. The nurse there said that 90% of visits to first aid are because of the wave pool and scrapes. Makes you wonder if they need to devise a different bottom for that pool!

Happy to know our sense of humor infiltrated your vacation. :lmao:

I'm back! Nice update of TL..that is my favorite water park! I would go there all the time on my days off :)

As guessed, we started this afternoon off at Spaceship Earth. Our plan for the day was to go to the World Showcase that day.

From there, we went to

I tried the Beverly with the kids agian, I really did. But this time, they were not to be tricked, lol.

Sweetie, however, did not like the watermelon stuff. I loved it

I tried with Stinky, but he wouldn't go for it, either.

They all oved the money banks.

After this and a ride on Mission: SPACE, we were all hungry, but couldn't agree on anything in Epcot Future World. We originally had reservations for Teppan Edo, which I cancelled in favor of doing a CS that day. I honestly can't remember what we finally decided on that day, but I think that's because we probably each got something different in the World Showcase.

Either way, by then we were ready for some KidCot :

And the kids really enjoyed their yearly picture in the phone booth.

Wherever we ate, we were in the World Showcase at dinner time for the fireworks.

Coming up: FIREWORKS!

What an absolutely gorgeous picture of the sun setting in Epcot. :goodvibes

I swear, I'm the only DISer I know who actually likes Beverly. Call me what you will. pirate:

Seems like a relaxing afternoon.

In all of our trips, can you believe we've never even set foot in Club Cool :confused3 Going there for sure this trip....I'm going to try and get Jasmine with the Beverly:lmao:

I love being in WS when the sun is setting...I love to find a bench and just enjoy it for about half an hour....it's pure heaven:cloud9:

We have never been to a water park, but it sure sounds fun.

We did do Club Cool and had a good time tasting everything.

Love the Epcot picture. I knew immediately that lady was in Spaceship Earth! That one cracks me up every time!!!

Can't wait to see the fireworks pics. :cheer2:

I love that picture, I really do. You like Beverly? :scared1: Yeah, you are the only person I know. We still love you, anyhow. :goodvibes

Oh, I forgot about Club Cool !! :guilty: Carbonation is an ABSOLUTE NO-NO for gastric bypass patients, so ALAS, I will no longer be able to sample Beverly (or any of the other international flavors) :sad2:

What beautiful pics...and I'm a sucker for fireworks...OOOH--AAAH!!!

Yeah, carbonation and gastric bypass are big no-nos when put together. I could offer letting the fizzies die out, but YUCK. At least there are so many other things to do at Epcot! :thumbsup2

I am a sucker for fireworks, as well. I guess you could say I like shiny things, lol.

We were in front of Germany at a point over the lagoon. We were there for about 30 min, and it was completely lovely.

LOL, it was funny the first year with the Beverly. My friend Tim (who reads here but doesn't post often) and I tried talking others into tasting it. I know we got my children with it. Now when I tell them to try something, they are very wary of me. :rotfl:

The water parks are fun. . .We really need a warm babnana vacation and go to the waterparks!

It's funny how fun Club Cool can be! :thumbsup2

Those yellow tights! :rotfl2: That plaid skirt. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Don't know which one catches your attention more.
