I am sitting here wrapping presents and I counted their presents - they are each getting 15  When I started shopping I was sure that I was not going to go overboard. Now some presents are only $5, but other presents are $100!! So I was wondering how many presents will each kid get under the tree Christmas morning?

Each of mine are getting 15, too. I didn't realize I'd bought that much!

about 12. I still have to get stocking stuffers tomorrow. Then she also gets presents at her DF's house and her stepgrandparents (who really act as if she is their blood and I am greatful for-her DF's GF's parents. She really hasn't asked for much.

My husband and I have 7 gifts for DD, plus 2 small stocking stuffer gifts. She asked Santa for 2 things and beyond that there are still grandparent, aunts, uncles and secret santa gifts that she will get. Way too much if you ask me but how can we really avoid all of this. This year we all agreed that we will stick to just secret santa gifts with DH's extended family that now includes the children so it should be a small improvement. We'll see if they follow through.

I have 2 dd's what we did was daddy bought one gift for each girl, mommy bought one gift for each girl, each girl bought a gift for eachother, mom & dad bought 2 gifts for the family (basically to share) and we have one large family gift (a trip this year)

otherwise Santa is bringing one main gift and a couple little gifts. I'd say they're getting 7 each in total...this is on the low end this year but their gifts are bigger in price this year (DS & games, Kobo e reader & card) so we figured less is more lol...

I have not started wrapping but I know there is a ton for each kid

My girls are getting one big Santa gift. Then they are each getting a purse from us that they picked out when we were in Disney and then they are each getting a purse made from recycled candy wrappers from Santa (with a small amount of money in them.) And one small gift each, still need to get one for DD11. Then they will take turns opening about 6 Wii and DS games to be shared and a couple of board games also to be shared. Those gifts are always just nameless and in Santa paper and they know they are left to the family and they take turns opening. Aside from that there will be stocking stuffers though I have not bought many yet, need to finsih that. They will each get a book form my mom and $30 from my grandparents and $25 from my great grandma. There is no other family. I had thought of giving them $200 to go to Splash Lagoon for a night in Jan or Feb, but thought we had given them pleanty, maybe I shoudl reconsider that. We are planning on taking them anyway, maybe giving it as a gift will make it seem like more, then again I don't want to give too much. Oh, I don't know. As of now they are getting what is above.

ETA- I forgot, they always get new PJs on Christmas eve. This year I opted to just get flannel jammies instead of Christmas ones and was able to get them for all 3 girls and myself to match for $9 a pair.

This year is a bit different for us, I won a $500.00 gift card from Macys so the kids are getting more than usual. I haven't spent hardly anything until yesterday.

Yesterday they got their "big" gift. We got each of them a Blackberry Torch and I upped the contract for 2 more years. So yes it is a huge gift when you add all the bills up.

Under the tree, I haven't wrapped yet, but I think they may have between 7-10 things each, and that includes the undies etc. My kids are older though so no little gifts anymore. I actually miss it though, I was actually looking at the coloring books and crayons today and really debated if I should get them.

I miss the little gifts too. Christmas isn't the same when they get older.

Mine have 15 each under the tree. Started with intentions of 5 each, upped it to 8 each, thought I had it done at 12 each but, somehow, when all wrapped and done it came out to 15... They aren't all super big gifts, though. DD has a Squinkies Cupcake, 2 Monster High dolls, 2 Moxie Snow dolls (with tent and car), and other things along that priceline. DS11 has a magic set, Mighty Beanz, Star Wars Lego sets, etc... and DS7 has Harry Potter Lego sets (his actually were a tad expensive :rolleyes1 but the kids don't know that), a Dress Up box, Mighty Beanz, etc.. They are each getting a few clothes, 4 movies, 2 books and a Board game. Santa is bringing DD a couple of dolls and a doll bed, DS11 the Kinect/Extra Kinect game, Xbox live subscription renewal, and DS7 a Razor Dune Buggy.

Stockings are always full but not of huge things. This year it is Lego minifigs, Star Wars toys, Hotwheels for the boys and Squinkie minisets, Zoobles and a MH doll for DD. They also get Pez, toothbrush, and an M&M's tube in their stockings. The bigger boys will find a BABW shower gel/body spray in theirs.
I think I started buying too early  Next year, I need to put it off until the 23rd LOL

12 gifts for each child under the tree, 3 that are for BOTH of them under the tree, and 2 a piece from Santa, and stocking stuffers. Plus, they will get way too much at my Mom's on Christmas Eve. They already got about 5 gifts a piece from my Dad and stepmom yesterday. And they will get a gift and money from dh's parents, plus 1 gift they exchange (by drawing names) from their cousins, and money from their great-grandmother.

They get waaayyy too much on Christmas but they are little and still easy to shop for money-wise. I actually could have easily thought of more to get them this year but didn't want to go too overboard.

Wow, I never realized how many presents kids get. When my kids were little my ex husband would never let me get them more than 1 or two. And never spent over 100. I am glad to hear that some kids a little something they enjoy.

Let's see....

DS15 is getting....
1- Rear springs for his car
2- Front speakers for his car
3- Rear speakers for his car
4- Fallout (PS3 game)
5- Battlefield (PS3 game)
6- Pull over Hoodie
7- Zippered Hoodie
8- Jeff Dunham Tshirt
9- Shifter Boot for his car
10- Replacement wheels for his Ripstik
11- Boston Red Sox Beanie (this will go in his stocking)

DS13 is getting....
1- Patriots wall clock
2- Patriots action figure (tom brady)
3- Patriots mini helmet
4- Two Patriots tshirts (wrapped in one box)
5- Black Ops (PS3 game)
6- Madden 11 (PS3 game)
7- Snuggie (LOL)
8- Football
9- Cookie Monster Tshirt
10- Diary of a Whimpy Kid Movie & the newest book (wrapped together)
11- Patriots Beanie (this will go in his stocking)

They will also be getting a gift each from my parents, some $$ from DH's mom and usually $$ from DH's dad/stepmom.

When they were younger, I used to get them a TON of gifts!!! And I mean a TON. But that was back in the day when $20 could get them 4- $5 gifts each. LOL Now that they're holder, $20 doesn't go that far.

We have always purchased 3 gifts per child and 1 larger or more expensive gift from Santa. At times they (my kids are 17 and 19) they will get 3 gifts that they can share, though we didn't this year since on is away at college. We came up with the number 3 from the 3 Wisemen. They each came bearing gifts for Baby Jesus.

It may seem like a small number but they still get presents from grandparents, aunts and uncles. We try not to materialize the holiday too much. It's hard tho. Every year there is always something else I want to purchase for them but I have to stop myself or I buy it and save it for another holiday.

Most years I buy my kids a gift from me and a gift from "santa" each. We are in an extended family gift exchange and get a family gift that includes them, and my mom always gets them a few gifts. Their dad may or may not give a gift, though to his credit, lately he has been sending birthday and Christmas presents. This year, BF went crazy on them and bought about 7 more gifts for each kid, so they sort of made out this year more than they typically do. In fact, I am struggling to find gifts to get them (still have to do my shopping) since he took my suggestion list and bought everything on it. :)

I"m supposed to count? I'm here at 4am because I don't have time to be here during the normal part of the day. I'll count when I'm putting things under the tree.

I have been so busy with volunteer work that I have not even wrapped the gifts yet so no clue how many there are. There are less than other years though because the things she likes are more expensive.

DS (4) has about 15, SD (16) has about 10.

She's hard to shop for. She gives no indication on what she wants for Christmas. The 4 year olf wants everything.

Price wise, they are about even. Let's not even go there.

I think I need DH to read this tread. He thinks I go overboard if I get the kids 5 things each :lmao: I think they have 4 each this year.

My kiddos are each getting one big gift and then a bunch of stuff that they need like replacement wheels for ripstiks and roller blades, K cups they love (!), etc. When they were younger, they definitely got more toys -- because it's so much easier (and cheaper) when they're younger!
