We own 400 points at VWL and just bought 140 points at AKV. We currently have 150 points for sale at VWL, so I didn't include those We're selling those so we could add on at AKV
We will be doing an add-on (at AKV) shortly....maybe in about 6 monhts. I am think a small 60-75 point add-on. Then, I will do another add-on if CRV or a monorail resport is ever announced.
While I would love to have the 400 - 600 points that many here have, DH is holding firm at a MAX of 2 Disney vacations per year. We went three times in the last year and he was all Disney'd-out by the third one and said it was just too much.
I will do a third trip solo, then! But to conserve points, will likely stay in an OKW studio for my solo trip.
At that the truth...I have to stop reading these boards because it's doing nothing but feeding the "Add-On Monster". My addonitis gets worse every day.
Help! I'm a DVC Point addict.
I have 280 points, which might not sound like much, but as of last August I owned 0.
I bought a 70 pt. BCV resale, a month or so later added 50 pt WLV, bought 130 points at AKV (originally asked for 100), and just this week added another 30 at BCV.
And I want more!
I am rethinking the AKV points, however. I have two contracts (60 &70) and may sell one down the road for GCV or CV.
We have 250 wonderful pts at VWL (my favorite resort) and 250 wonderful pts at BCV (my husbands favorite resort) We are very happy right now but....once contemporary begins who knows!!!
We started at BWV with 170 pts. We addded 100 at VB a year later. We then added 50 more at BWV and added 320 at SSR last year. We'd like to ad on at HHI and CRV if it's built.
I bought the original 150 at SSR in Oct. 2005. By March 2006, I was ready for a small resale so I picked up 50 pts. at HH. Total:200 pts
Made the "mistake" of staying our last night of our trip last week at AKL...now addoitis has set in and I am playing with numbers to buy some AKL points for a studio stay once/year. Loved it!
I also plan to add on another 50 at SSR. Now that I've had a few trips with DVC, I have a better idea of my current vacationing patterns.
