How many points do you have? How do you use them?

1) Where do you live? Lancaster County, PA
2) How many points do you have? 150 SSR + 150 AKV
3) How do you use them? (frequency of trips? length of trips? type of accommodation?) By banking, we always have 300 at one resort to take advantage of the 11 month window. We use it for a week, usually in October--2 bdr
4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet) Plane. If I had to drive (especially with 3 DSs), it wouldn't be a relaxing vacation for me. :goodvibes

1) Where do you live? Maryland
2) How many points do you have? 210 - OKW

4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet) Plane. We have driven and flown, but lately we take the Auto Train from Lorton, VA to Sanford, FL so we have our own vehicle with us.

1) Where do you live? We live in upstate NY.
2) How many points do you have? We just bought in April - 200 AK points
3) Going in Nov. to SSR for our first DVC trip. Staying 6 nights in a 2 BD. Hoping to stay 6 nights every time we go from now on - once a year.
4) When our kids were really little we drove to Fla. a few timesand took them to WDW in 95 and 96 and then didn't go back for 9 years!. Now it is harder to justify all of the time in the car and missing, school, etc. The last two years we flew in 06 and 07 and decided not to miss out again. Did not go in 08 , but finally decided to buy DVC!!!! - now we are members and will be flying down this year in November - can't wait!

4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet) usually plane, but we are driving for our WDW/DCL trip in Aug 2009, and taking autotrain back home

I have enjoyed reading this thread so I 'mise as well add my info....

Ohio...but close enough to the Michigan that I have to say...way to go Red Wings!!

1,140 points (OKW, HHI, SSR & AKL) with two different UY's. Started off with 210 HHI points and have too many add-ons to remember. Building up the DVC point pot for retirement when we will travel the world instead of owning a second home somewhere.

We use our points any way we possibly can. We usually do HHI every year and take family with us so we usually have a 2BR. We go to WDW 1-2 X's a year and try to fit in a cruise. Basically we are going somewhere about 2-4 times a year and love every second of it.

Usually we fly and go with the best prices at the time. We have used Northwest, Air Tran and Spirit Airlines mostly. I will get there any way I can as fast as I can....by scooter if I had to....:moped:

Massachusetts
850 - SSR and AKV (waiting for BLT)
2-3 trips a year avg. 8-12 nights. We get get a 2BR when the kids come, we usually do a 1BR for DH and I but sometimes a studio and sometimes we treat friends and family....those points go faster than you think!
We fly...usually SWA from Manchester, NH...much better than Logan Airport in Boston!

1) Where do you live? Rhode Island
2) How many points do you have? Not enough! 225 (150 SSR and 75 AKV)
3) How do you use them? (frequency of trips? length of trips? type of accommodation?) Usually 1 long trip per year (1BR or 2BR) - 8 or 9 nights but lately (span of 13 months) we will have taken one 9 night trip and two 5 night trips (Sun-Thurs)
4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet) We've always flown - SWA non-stop from Providence - can't beat it!

We live in Oregon.
We have 180 pts. (would like more) We are still working with extra points that we got when we bought in.
We Fly to Orlando.
We stay in studios (we are only 3) We used to trade off between DL and WDW. We would always buy AP's, so we would get 2 trips out of each pass. Now that we have DVC, we really plan to mostly do WDW. So far we have only been able to go once a year, but hope to go more. This summer we will be in FL for 3 weeks total. 15 days of that will be at DVC's.:woohoo:

As for me....

1) Where do you live? Houston, TX (howdy ya'll)

2) How many points do you have? 200 points up until last Friday when we added 200 more :cool1: - all SSR

3) How do you use them?
TOO QUICKLY!!!! :rotfl2:

While we are now scheming and dreaming of how to use the new point total :scratchin:, previously 200 points would get us about 6 days in a 2BR with our family + the parents or in-laws and then would get me and the wife a nice little studio trip on our own. So before this add on, we'd get about 11 days of Disney and 50 + Mickey ice cream bars :mickeybar.

4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney?
Plane (but MAN, it's getting EXPEN$IVE!:faint: )

Wish we could just teleport there :teleport:, but then we'd need ALOT more points.

3) How do you use them? studios, usually 10 nights, 2 trips-summer and winter
4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? plane...had to forgo AirTran's direct flight this year due to the cost so we are splitting between United and Delta.

1: 30 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio
2: 686 points, I did have over 1000 at one time, but the family doesn't go as often, and the dues were a killer, I own at OKW and sold off BW, BC and HH.
3: I tend to go for 5-7 nights in a 2 bedroom 3 times a year...and I, on occasion, rent points to friends that want to go....
4: Drive down, in my mini van, but with gas going up, not sure about future trips....

1) Where do you live?
2) How many points do you have?
3) How do you use them? (frequency of trips? length of trips? type of accommodation?)
4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet)

3) 3 trips a year - treat friends / family. DW prefers 1 BR, but will "settle" for a studio if we are with friends.
4) Airplane so far, but that magic carpet idea sounds interesting.
