How many points do you have? How do you use them?

1) Where do you live? Montana
2) How many points do you have? 1030 (210 OKW, 570 BW (multiple contracts), 250 AKV)
3) How do you use them? (frequency of trips? length of trips? type of accommodation? We do a Disney trip each year. Most trips are 8-10 days and we usually take other family members so we have multiple rooms and usually have larger accomodations. Even when it is just our family, we like the 2BR accomodations. We have also used points for cruises and stays at other Disney resorts. In the future (when we no longer have to follow school schedules), we plan to have longer stays (2-3 weeks), but probably still 1 trip per year due to travel costs.
4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet). Plane.

~Massachusetts
~200 points
~1 trip a year (sometimes 2) typically a 1 BR, sometimes a studio
~Plane

Athens, GA (2nd home in Highlands, NC)

340 points - SSR and HHI (50 pt HHI is currently under contract to be sold)

We go 3-4 times per year averaging 6-7 nights per stay. We use 1 and 2 bedrooms and an occassional studio when it is just DH and I. We typically use points for Sun.-Thurs. and then cash for weekends or for trips after our points are used up.

Drive - unless we can get great airfare on Spirit but we really prefer to have our car.

1) Washington, DC

2) 400 points. 300 BCV, 100 SSR

3) Always in studios - Average of one 2-night weekend per month at WDW, about one week during food & wine festival, once per year at another locale (Disneyland or Disneyland Paris)

4) Strictly by plane.

4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet)

When DH is on the trip we drive, when it's me and friends we fly, but we will be flying as a family sometime in the future, as soon as I can get DH on a plane! That's in reality - in my dreams it's a magic carpet;)

Beyond that, I'm taking kids and grandkids for a week in a 2BR next May. We'll try to work it out among the family so that each group of kids can go at least every third year and stay in a studio or 1BR (leaving all the other years for me of course ;) )
4) I barely drive to the grocery store--it's all about flying for me.

We own 1,410 points at both OKW & SSR, we live 80 miles from Disney and visit about 6 to 8 times as a get away. We stay at BWV with BWview most times and just love it. Don't always go in to the parks but use Disney to stay and travel around the area. Of course we drive the short distance.

2) How many points do you have? 627 375 BWV and 252 BCV!

3) How do you use them? (frequency of trips? length of trips? type of accommodation?) We use points in lots of different ways! studios, 1br, 2br and cruises. We always stay 7 nights (occasionally an 8th night in a studio) and go 2-3 times a yr, May and either Oct or Dec (sometimes both)

2) How many points do you have? 885 total. Wow. :cloud9: 735 SSR & 150 BWV (BWV as of tonight woohoo! :woohoo: Thank you Cathy Leahy! Our Guide is the best! )

3) How do you use them? (frequency of trips? length of trips? type of accommodation?) As a couple of DINKS we have been using our points for 1 bedrooms on long weekends (Presidents day, Memorial Day), going on another long weekend in August for DH's BD, another long weekend in October for MNSSHP, and another long weekend in November for MVMCP. Also, got 3 DL Grand Californian rooms for my DNs and DS for DN's college graduation in March for 5 days, going back to DL for my DS's 50 BD in September and getting a couple of rooms for that for 5 days. Now we're planning our very first cruise ever on the DCL. Thinking of starting with the 4 day cruise to get our feet wet. We are soooo lucky.

4) How do you travel back and forth to Disney? (train, plane, car, magic carpet) Plane, too darn far to drive from Pittsburgh! Still waiting for teleporting to get all the bugs worked out.

What a great thread. I am just so excited about our BWV points coming in tonight and I wanted to share, and this is the perfect thread to do it. Ok, back to watching the live BWV cam...

have 200 SSR points. Vacation every sept. for 12-14 days & @ least 1 5-7 day trip. we always stay in a studio & most of the time in value season. have stayed @ SSR & OKW. Love dvc , only sorry we didn,t do it sooner but looking forward to many more vacations. Hope in the near future to be able to add on points. Almost forgot, live in Pa. Pat :cool1:  :dance3:

1. We live in Southern New Jersey (we are the "garden" part of the state :goodvibes - but I am a Rutgers alumni!)
2. 270 points @ AKV
3. It depends on if we have annual passes for the year. Sometimes there will be a little more than a year between trips, but if we have AP's there will be 2-4 trips in a given 12 month time period. We are staying for a short 3 night stay in a Studio (just me and Hubby), then later in the summer we are scheduled for 10 days with the immediate and extended family in a 2BDRM.
4. We either fly or drive, its 50/50. Love those SouthWest dings!!
