How many points can you bank?

You can bank 100% of your current year points into the next year. But if you fail to use them in the next year, they are lost forever.

There are banking deadlines to consider also.

IE, June 2006 use year, 200 point contract. You can only bank a maximum 50% of the 200 points (or 100 points) after Dec 1st, 2006. You can only bank 25% (or 50 points) after March 1st, 2007.

You can bank 100% of your points during the 1st 6-months of your use year.

You can bank (or already have banked) up to 50% of your points during the 7th-9th month of your use year.

You can bank (or already have banked) up to 25% of your points during the 10th month of your use year.

You cannot bank points at all during the 11th or 12th month of your use year.

The exceptions are transferred points which don't count in your banking totals and by reports, aren't limited to the banking windows.

Dean,

My UY is Aug so my last banking deadline is May 31. Does this mean I could transfer in 2006 points and still bank them after June 1? Could I bank the entire amount transferred in, even if I had already banked 100% of my 2006 points? Thanks.

Jerry

This is my understanding of how it's worked in the past. This is an area subject to change I'd expect.
