how many point to stay the whole year at DVC

I'm going to start off by saying that I don't know the answer to this question and that's why I'm asking it. It might sound stupid and I'm sorry for that. But, if you did have the means and were looking to increase the number of points you own but you already have the 3000 or 5000 that the DVC limits you to. Can't you buy more points under a trust? I know that DVC allows you to buy under a trust, I'm just not sure if you can buy more than the 3/5000 point limit if you buy as an individual and then again as a trust.

I certainly do not have the means to do this, I'm just curious.

There appear to be ways to buy and control more points, and setting up a trust to separately purchase the max could be one of them. A husband and wife could double the points simply by purchasing separately. It is possible Disney could challenge those attempts to increase the maximum a member controls, but (a) I would guess there are not many who can and want to purchase more than the max so the issue probably is not likely to arise much, and (b) likely Disney would act only if it creates a problem such as the member is controlling a lot of points just so he can run a rental business.

I agree, there are ways to do it. A trust, different names, etc. There also doesn't appear to be much way to enforce it anyway if one buys resale.

Rather then spend a million to stay in a studio year round, I think most people would spend 2 million for a home in Golden Oaks.

But....you can't walk to Epcot for dinner from Golden Oaks.......

Despite that little inconvenience, I may take a look on my next visit.
