How many pets are too many?

We have two cats. One of them has behavioral issues (she sprays. Yes, I did say "she"!!!) and the other has IBD. Both their conditions are aggravated by stress, which includes even seeing another cat out the window. If not for this, we'd have many more because I want every one I see. I totally understand the "old lady with 30 cats" stories because I can see how naturally this could happen. :p I grew up with big dogs & couldn't stand cats until about 10 years ago. Now I truly think they are collectible!

We have 5 cats (4 were rescues), 1 German Shepherd (www.petfinders.org) and a Dutch Bunny.
I would love to get another kitten, but think I will be purchasing this one, as I want a siamese kitten. My current siamese is 12, and I love their personalities.

Nobody can ever answer the TOO many pets issue, it is all personal preference.

At one time, in a TRAILOR, I had 5 dogs (2 were prego), 9 cats, a rabbit, a guinea pig, a fish aquarium, and a snake.

The pet thing is just how many you can manage to keep maintenance of both financially and physically.

I would take the kitten ::yes::

Uh oh, I'm in trouble - I have to go find more people to live in my house so we can outnumber the animals. My house isn't that big!

Twi cats isn't that much of a difference from one cat. And three is even less of a difference! So I've been trying to convince DH. Alas, our housing only allows two pets, so Wedge and Tycho will have to live without another furry sibling.
