How many of you go to Universal or Sea World or other places while staying at Disney?

We're going to go to Universal and Sea World. Haven't been since 2001 so I'm a bit excited to go.

How about you?

We will be at Disney June 5th through the 12th. Then onto Universal June 12th through the 17th. This year we are adding a day to go to Sea World. We always do both Disney and Universal on every visit. We add Sea World about once every three visits. We love Disney and Universal!!!! You will have a great time! When are you going? Have fun.

This is our fifth trip to Disney, and we are going to Universal for the first time. We will be staying on site at Universal for 3 nights and then going to POR for 7 nights. My kids are 14 and 16, and we thought they might like something a little different this year.

Yup...we do Universal each trip. This trip it is 4 days at Disney and 2 at Universal. We have also been to Sea World and Busch Gardens but not in several years. Now that Disney and Universal have more parks we seem to be staying with those six parks..... :sunny:

We just returned from an eight day Easter trip (five at Disney, three at Universal). We really enjoy both. To me there's nothing like Disney, but Universal is also really great and lots of fun and my boys, now that they're getting older, really enjoy the thrill rides at Universal. So we found this past trip, we had the perfect mix. You do need longer for Disney since it has four parks vs. Universal's two and I wouldn't want to skip any Disney park! Also, if you stay on-site at Universal you get unlimited front-of-the-line access and that is the most amazing benefit, unlike anything Disney offers to resort guests. Of course nobody understands theming like Disney. Gee, can you tell I love both??

Yep! we do USO and IOA. Love Disney, but the coasters are just better at IOA and they do a great job on simulator rides as well. The older my boys get the more we appreciate USO & IOA. :thumbsup2

Count us in! We plan to spend only one day at each Universal park this year, but we say that every year, then we get the 5 day bonus passes, and we end up using all five days! They have a different feel from WDW, but they have a lot to offer, especially for my Nickelodeon watching, Shrek lovin, superhero-crazy boys!

We used to travel over to US & IOA, when we were staying at WDW. That made for a long day, because we would do both parks in one day. Then about 4 years ago we would start our vacation off by staying at one of the Universal hotels to take advantage of FOTL and spread our visit ove two days. This is a great way for us to begin our vacation. We absolutely love the PBR it's a thing a real beauty.

On our last trip we did Universal in one day, both parks. We didn't get to do everything but in January the lines were really short and we hit all the big rides a couple of times over. As much as I LOVE Disney it was nice to take a break mid-way through our vacation and get off property for a day. Mears Transport from our hotel was easy and quick to get us there and back. Not sure if we'll do that again next trip, maybe Sea World next time?

Until I went with DH and our kids, I never went anywhere but WDW. On our first two trips, we bought Disney and Flex tickets. We had one day at each park. And one day each at TL, BB, and Wet n Wild. We had an awesome time and thoroughly enjoyed each park...but we were whipped by the end of the trip!!!

Last year, we only took one day away from Disney and went to the Space Center. We just spent a lot more time relaxing. DH and I are getting older and the kids are now able to go off on their own for a little while. We just feel safer giving them a little freedom at WDW.

We also love the water parks. Last year our boys passed up going to US and IOA to spend an extra day at each of the water parks.

Now we just take a day or two and do another park. I would like to go to SW this year, but we're planning on doing Discovery Cove next year, so we'll probably choose BG this year!

I usually always spend at least a day at Universal. I get the park hopper for there because I want to go to Spiderman. I am an old codger now and can't handle the coasters so the only thing that appeals to me in IOA is Spidy.

As for the rest of Universal it is well done, somewhat different than Disney but well worth the visit. I think some attractions, like Terminator, are superior to Disney in many ways. I also go frequently to the Kennedy Space Center but Sea world holds no attraction to me. I've been a few times but it just didn't float my boat.

We always do a day or two of Universal/IOA every time we go to Disney. DS (10) loves IOA & Universal.

We love USO/IOA as well as WDW. It's just not a "complete" trip for us unless we get a taste of it all :)

Not a big fan of universal. But we did do Discovery Cove and it was absolutely amazing. We did it without the dolphin swim, due to the fact that DH isn't a great/ confident swimmer. We both loved it, although we were pretty tired at the end of the day. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

and didn't really care for it. We aren't big movie people. We also aren't "thrill" ride people either. I am, but DH,DS, & DD aren't so I can take them or leave them. Is it worth it to take a day and go to US? We love WDW and find tons for all of us to do and enjoy there.

I'd hate to go to US and not like it and feel like we've wasted a day and $$.

I would actually love to go but the kids are too little to enjoy most of the rides. I'll wait until they are around 8-10 years old.

We are also doing 1 day @ Universal & 1 day @ Sea world this year! I haven't been to Sea World in FL since the 80's. Miss the SW in Ohio!
Somehow, I am always disappointed in Universal....it sure aint Dis! But the kid is forcing me to go! :teeth:

We've gone to Disney twice and both times have done US/IOA and Seaworld. This NOV/DEC we will be doing Disney again for 6 days and 1 day at IOA, one day US, and 1 day Busch Gardens for the first time :cool1:

I was not impressed with US ((but I have never been to IOA). SeaWorld is ok I LOVE the sealion show, but not worth missing any Disney Time. There is a Marine Land in Canada that is not far from our house, we go there as a separate vacation
