Hi folks,
We need some serious help, my wife and i are arriving in Orlando, on Thursday 3rd of November we are in Orlando for 8 days, we are 43-37 years of age respectively, have no children, never been before. Would like to do Epcot, Seaworld, Discovery cove, and swim with the Dolphins, Magic Kingdom, and Animal kingdom, plus Kennedy Space Centre, being Orlando virgins not sure if this will be to much. We are renting a house, and hiring a car for our duration,
not sure what park to do on first day, or wether to buy tickets for the parks in Orlando or U.K. or what sort of tickets to buy day passes or weekly pass. Any help would be much appreciatted.
Regards

Hi Clive, welcome to the DIS!

As we leave one day before you, thought I'd have first stab at answering some of your questions (and leave the more difficult ones to the experts ;) )

If you're there for eight days, about six parks (I've included Kennedy in that count, even though it's not really a park as such) sounds about right. You'll probably want at least one rest day during your holiday otherwise you'll come back more tired than when you went out!

We normally do Animal Kingdom first day - you'll be tired with the jet-lag and given that it's quite a small park to do walking-wise, if you get there for opening, you can be out before 4pm having seen everything. Similarily, would save Epcot for later in the holiday as it's a lot bigger, a lot more to do, and you'll want to stay awake for the fireworks at 9pm!

Most of the tickets you can buy in the UK are geared up for the vistor coming for two weeks - they typically include 5 or 7 park days at Disney for example. I doubt you'll get full value for these, so either wait until you get to Orlando and buy exactly what you need there, or buy through a place like Ticketmania (based in the US, web address is www.ticketmania.com) as they'll be able to sell you a 3 or 4 day ticket.

Hope this helps!

Hi there, wow thats a lot to do in 8 days :goodvibes
I would definately get all the passes in the UK before you go-cheaper and you'll save queuing time.
I would do magic kingdom 1st,it's the best and you might want to go back if you have time, sea world would be next for me as it takes a full day to catch all the shows.
discovery cove will be a full day and i think you should book that asap as it books up very quickly.
If you get there early you could do animal kingdom in half a day.
Epcot will definately take a full day, lots to see and lots of walking!
I would struggle with kennedy space centre because it's a good drive out,but if you don't mind having a busy holiday then it will be worth the trip.
I think you will have a very full, busy, but fab holiday.I hope my advice helps you a little,i'm sure some of the pros on this site will do better!! :teeth:
