7 yr old girl and 12 yr old boy. We are coming from the West Coast. If you take the monorail do you have to use a park ticket? We will probably be hungry but so far trying to find reservations on Valentines Day is not fun![]()
What sort of plans do you have the next day? Will you be getting up early to hit the ground running? If you're taking it easy, and if the park hours go late on your arrival night, it can be a good way to get night stuff in like fireworks when you are still on west coast time. (11pm will feel like 8pm etc)
But then the morning is going to hurt more. Getting up for an 8am rope drop means getting to the park at 7 or 730 and there's transportation and breakfast and showering and dressing and yawning so you're waking at 6ish which is of course 3ish to your body.
If we have a "take it easy" first morning we will go late the first night and hit a park. If we have an early morning we'll wear ourselves out by swimming to try to get to sleepy early so we can pretend the morning will be fine.
Fwiw our first WDW trip had ten park days there and 4 days at universal (and we wanted more at universal). Don't feel weird about the number of days you have planned.

Monorail doesn't go INto a park like it does at dlr so it doesn't require a ticket.
