I can't sleep so I thought I would do some trip planning. ;)

Anyway for DH and I, we'll have two outfits per day. I'm thinking the same with an extra thrown in the stroller for just in case. Does this sound about right?

I would plan on one extra in a zip lock baggie and maybe a second shirt. I would also pack water shoes for the water play areas.

We just came back from San Diego with our 21 month old and he easily went through 2 outfits a day and somedays 3 if it got chilly.

When we went with our toddler, I planned two per day, and it was plenty.

We always carried one spare outfit, but we also napped in the hotel every day, so sometimes she wore 3 in one day.

Walking into the parks, we had a warm-weather and a cool-weather outfit (one on the kid, one packed). She always asked to change mid-morning and late-afternoon. There were also a few infrequent "ketchup shirt" changes.

I only did one and did laundry halfway.

My son is 4 now so more a preschooler, but he's traveled since he was 6 months old and been to Disney at ages 10 months, 2.5 and 3. Generally for Disney I am usually prepared with 3 shirts and 2 bottoms per day, especially once he was beyond bibs. Once he stopped using them at school he looked at me like I had 2 heads when I pulled one out.

Our trip next month will be the first one post toilet training, so between that and possible spills plus water play areas, I'll probably pack more bottoms this time as well. I don't expect accidents as he isn't newly trained and he's done really well. But it is Disney so with the lines that tend to be in the restrooms, I want to be prepared. I can usually do laundry at least once per trip, but I tend to pack for ds like I won't be able to do any.

I love the Garanimals line from Wal-Mart. The pieces are really inexpensive and comfortable. With the exception of his church clothes and jeans, it is pretty much all my cihldren wore from birth, and they are great for travel although for Disney we sometimes have special shirts.

We brought along 2 outfits per day on our last trip and came home with about 1/2 of the "extra" clothes unused. Toddler clothes are small, though, so I would still bring 2 outfits per day anyway. :)

We always did 2 outfits per day during that stage and probably only used 1/2 of them. If the kids didn't need changed, I didn't change them during the day.
