How many of you still use wave phones?

My wife and I leave our phones in the room and still carry wave phones

Didn’t touch them on our last cruise. Just used the text feature on the app. It worked well enough.

With two kids in the clubs we use the wave phones.

We left all four of ours (two staterooms) in the room for the entire cruise. Carried around our phones most of the time, and sometimes a paper navigator.

Never touch them anymore. We find more use in the outlet the wave phone charger is plugged into than the wave phones themselves.

Never used them, but I kept getting notices for someone else laundry! It took me 15 minutes to figure out what was beeping in our room, turns out its the wave phones. Fun note, they also do that if you knock it loose from the charger and after a few days its low on battery.

Never use them. Just use the Disney Cruise App on our IPhones. One time my son got lost on the cruise and the front desk was able to call my IPhone.

I took one for the kids club notifications as I trusted the app to message me once and nothing came through.

Kids club was good at enteraining kids and not very good at looking after them actually. That same time the message didn't arrive my daughter had fallen off a chair and cut her leg. None of the staff did anything about the very obvious injury (blood everywhere), even though she was asking them at multiple points to message me for a pickup.

After that I changed her to self checkout despite her being one year younger than the official age for that and I wouldn't put a child in there again who wasn't old enough for self checkout.

Only if we cruise with the grandkids, if it's just Hubby & I, they go in the drawer.

Only used them on our first cruise. Left one in the room, and took the other with us so our kids could go back to the room and text us if needed. No way was I letting my kids carry the wave phones around and risk losing them, since one of them rarely wore clothes that had a pocket.

Never used the wave phone on any cruise. Love the app on my phone. In theory, the notification that the washer/dryer is done is a nice feature, but I'm always there waiting for the machine to finish. Then I have to clear the message.

I never used the wave phones and I always turnoff my cell phone and lock it up as soon as I get to my stateroom. I prefer the hard copy of the navigator over the app because I can make notes on it, I don't worry about it if I leave it on a lounger or if it gets lost because I can always request another.

On the Fantasy in April we had to carry the wave phones because the notifications from the Oceaneer Club/Lab were so unreliable when using the app. We would never get messages about the kids in real-time using the app, but then when we were all together in the MDRs we’d get bombarded with literally dozens of messages within a couple of minutes saying my son and nephew wanted to be picked up. I took screenshots because it was so weird.
