get up get dressed presentable & put on makeup? I always feel like such a bum but I don't see any reason to put on makeup when I stay home all day unless its a trip to the bank /grocery store....

Just curious if there are other bums out there..... :rotfl:

The first thing I do in the morning is put on mascara. It is the only makeup I wear.

My husband refuses to kiss me if I put on makeup so none for me.
We also live in an area where you are overdressed if you are in anything other than t shirt and jeans. Sometimes I love it here.

I'm not a SAHM, not a mom at all, and I almost never wear makeup! Once in a while, I'll put on mascara, but that's it.

I do most days. And if I don't during the day I try to before my husband gets home so I look at least decent.

There are days though, lol, when I have gone out in sweats, unfixed hair and no makeup. I have looked down and seen spots all over my shirt and dog paw prints on my pants. Now that is bad!

Last week I was having a down day (26 continuous days of rain will do that to you) and was no make-up, flat hair, giant sweatshirt and I ran into a girl I had not seen since 6th grade. I felt bad. What if I ran into an ex boyfriend?? So, shame motivates me to at least try most of the time. Sometimes, I honestly don't remember to put make-up on I am so busy.

Know what is weird? When i was heavy, I felt ugly unless I went all out. Now that I'm thin, I feel "cute" even with no makeup on.

I do, unless I am sick. Even if I am just wearing sweats, I at least put on a little make up and curl my bangs. I figure if dh was a stay at home dad, I would like him to shave once in a while and comb his hair!

Only if I'm going somewhere where I'll see people. Otherwise, I don't even bother.

I almost always do. Today I was sick as a dog and it was all I could do to take a shower (I felt a little better after) but I had no engery for make up.

However if I am not really sick almost every other day I shower, fix my hair and put on make up. I try to dress presentable also, but that is often jeans and a nice shirt. I also tried to get dressed right away and not spend half the day in PJs. I have been know to let my kids stay in PJs most of the day, but mostly because they get so dirty eating anyway, why get more cothes dirty t hen you need to? :teeth:

However, my make up and hair routine are rather low matience so it isn't that much work. Still even 5 min can be hard to find when the kids are yelling. ;)

I guess I must be a weirdo! I do a full face of makeup everyday, blowdry my hair, and pick out a nice outfit everyday even to take my girls to the bus stop! I just feel so much better after, so to me its worth it.

I'm a SAHM with two children ages 3 and 18 months. I get up before them and put makeup on and do my hair every day.

I'm a super girly girl, so I love doing my makeup and hair, no matter how tired I am.

I do for the most part unless it is a day I just don't plan on it. I don't like feeling scuzzy and showering and becoming presentable make me feel better.

(watch too much What Not to Wear and don't wish to end up on it ;)).

I have to say, it's very, very, verrrry low on my priority list. I used to put on at least a little makeup to run errands, but I don't now, even when I'm going to classes. My husband doesn't like women who wear makeup, so I just got used to going without. It's not that I chose not to wear it for his sake, but I have absolutely nobody else I'd care to impress.

I prefer to dazzle them with my sparkling wit. :rolleyes1

I'm a very casual person and I hardly ever wear make up, but I don't think that makes me unpresentable, it's just me. :teeth:

Usually I just wear jeans/shorts or a casual skirt with a t-shirt and flip flops.

I shower , dress , do my hair and put make-up on every day. I'm always going somewhere- volunteer in school etc. I don't want to be caught looking dumpy. Plus I go to the YMCA every morning to exercise so I am a sweaty mess when I come home and NEED a shower. No I don't where makup to the Y.

Like someone said I wouldn't want DH looking a mess. I j ust feel better about myself.

I work now that the nest is empty, but when I was a SAHM I worked so hard physically that I never had the time or energy to make up and dress nicely. I would get up before the children and get an hour or so done in the garden before they got up. Then I'd clean and cook. When they went to school I worked more in the garden to raise our own fruit and vegetables. Dirty and sweaty. I tried to have a clean house, good food, and a shower for when my husband got home. But nice clothes and makeup- not my priority.

We did have a neighbor who always looked great- nice clothes, pretty hair and makeup. I admired her, as I raked up weeds.

I don't put on make up unless we're going out at night and we're dressing up (I feel better with it on if I'm dressed up). I also don't wear it if we're going somewhere and I know they're taking pictures. Same thing for contact lenses-I sport my glasses except for the above mentioned reasons. I do get a little vain about pictures for some reason. But I really don't care if I'm out with no make up and glasses on and people see me. I don't care what they think. My dad told me several years back that I didn't need to wear make up. I was pretty enough without it. What a good dad!!! Gotta love him!!

Btw, Dh doesn't share my dad's opinion!! He's always telling me I should fix up more and wear more expensive, nicer looking clothes. With little kids, yeah, that makes sense-let me ruin some good clothes. I just don't see the point.

I don't get the ruin good clothes part.

I'm just looking to not wear stuff that looks like I slept in.

One can look nice without breaking the bank.

I go for coordinating clothes that flatter my body type.

The days of looking like June Cleaver are over--but one can still look nice.

I do to take DD to the bus stop - I don't know about dressing nicely - but I do get out of my sweats and into jeans and a presentable top. No one should have to see me without my makeup, hair washed, etc!!! :sunny: If I didn't have to go to the bus stop I probably wouldn't every day - at least not so early!!! :sunny:
