How many of you have had the heck scared out of you be a HM CM?

Just wondering how many amoung you have had the heck scared out of you by a HM CM?
I did last year at MNSSHP. DH and I walked over to the HM and it looked so incredible, all green and misty. Because we've been on the ride so many times, I walked DH to the portrait over the door to the loading area. All of the CMs were really into their roles that evening. They had their faces made up to look as if they were dead and were just being very creepy.
One younger male CM was circling the stretching room as everyone filled in. The lights went out, the scream was heard, and I turned to go to the door. Little did I know that the male CM was standing right in my face. For some reason, DH thought I knew he was there, but since I didn't have my spider senses on, I didn't.
I screamed so loudly, and everyone laughed. Now, I scare very easily and was very upset. My heart was racing and it took me about half and hour to calm down. I'm very glad I didn't yell something very unDisney or hit him (as many women may do if a strange man is in their faces).
Has this happened to anyone else, or am I just the lucky one?

Geez..I bet that really did freak you out. I know I probably would have jumped too.

I never had a HM CM scare me, but I did have a ToT CM REALLY into his part & boy was he creepy!!!!!!

I really like it when CMs get into their role. It makes it more fun.

I was last year, I believe it was during MVMCP, but I'm not positive (I know it was at night). I was going around the queue right before you get to the ride (where the brass knob is worn from people swinging around on it). I had actually recently before that read about the pole being worn smooth so I was looking at that. All of a sudden from my left, the CM that stands on the side of the cars, at the end of the conveyor belt, on the end before you enter the ride, jumped at me and slammed his palms down on the wooden divider and yelled at me. It scared the daylights out of me!!!
I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly, but it was very scary!

I had just gotten in the Doombuggy and was fussing with my purse when my fiance starts laughing. I turned to the right and there was a creepy CM staring at me, like three inches from my face. Needless to say, I screamed and made a fool out myself.

OMG that is such a great story! LOL!!!!!!!! I've never been scared like that, but those HM CM's always creep me out, they are SO good!!! But if something goes wrong, they sure do get out of character and back to normal really quick.... Last year I was holding my 3.5 yr old and as we walked through the turnstile heading into HM, his foot got caught between one of the turnstile "posts" and the side. It wasn't a big deal, I just had to turn his foot to get it out, but the CM who was standing there (and moments before was in complete scary HM character mode) RAN over to me and asked if he was ok and everything. She was so sweet, and it made me feel great that she cared and got out of character to help us.

It was during our August trip last year and for some reason we were able to get right back on the ride without a wait! Well I guess I got to daydreaming and did not notice the CM standing behind me! DD says I was standing there "Mocking" what was being said! I guess the CM noticed us from before and proceeded to walk around until he ended up behind me! When the lights went out I turned to face the door, only to have him in my face!

I pay attention now!LOL

I had been zipping through the pre=show and line queues, looking probably as "know-it-all" as possible. We entered the doombuggies after everyone else in line and the CM who put us into the buggie sprinted behind ours and jumped out at me on the other side. I screamed loudly and my DH and DD laughed their heads off! It was a hoot and the thrill of that entire day.

I was at Grad Nite at Disneyland. We had 3 girls in a doombuggy. We had all been on the ride a million times and were having a great time. Well, we got to the part where the hand is trying to get out of the coffin. You look the other way, and you see the hall with the door and a suit of armor. Well, I guess it was a "special" night because the suit of armor started walking towards us with the axe. They had a live person in it. You have never heard 3 girls scream so loud!!!! Looking back it was soooo funny, but I think the doombuggy was a little damp when we got out.

A couple of years ago as we were entering the HM there was a CM at the door and I mentioned to my DH that he looked really good. We were taken in the holding room before you go into the strecting room. All of a sudden I felt like someone was really close to me and I look and it was this CM and Yes I screamed. As we were walking to go onto the ride he jump out from somewhere at me again. Again I screamed and everyone thought it was very funny. We got on the Doombuggy and I wass stelling in for the ride as just before we were to enter the hallway for the ride to start he jumped from the back of the doombuggy to the front and again I screamed.

It has never happened again, but I will never forget it.

Love the CM at HM!! They play their roles so wel!! My DD (9) had the daylight scared out of her at HM & then on the backstage tour. It was so funny she still talks about it!!

That is so funny. I had a CM on ToT pick on me. He was really into is part and when he was telling us the rules about flash photography I started to giggle. He scolded me and stopped and stood infront of me making hand gestures for no photography. He was sooooo serious and scary. He kind of reminded me of the scary teacher in Harry Potter. Every time he came over to me he made me smirk even more. He stopped and wouldn't let anyone onto the ride until I stopped. Everyone thought that it was so funny the I was getting into "trouble". It was great and I won't ever forget it.

We were there 2 yrs ago and my DD met a girl her age at the CBR where we were all staying she was from England and there weith her parents.

We had planned on going to E_nite and we were talking to the parents about it and were going to ask if their DD could go with us. They had been planning on going too so the 6 of us went.

The girls were quite a bit ahead of us as we were heading to the HM and we hear thme scream!!!! (one of the CM jumped out at them) we my DD had it set up with the CM to jump out at us and of course both of us moms screamed well the girls thought that was halarious (sp)

so them just as we were ready to enter the HM the Cm comes out and opens the door so my DD pipes in "come on and smile you know you want too!!!!)

well that did it another CM had to come and take his place while he went off but you could tell he was laughing!!

the new CM did the come here with the finger to my DD and showed her the door!!!

everyone thought the whole scene was very funny!!!!
(except for the poor CM that to go off and have a good laugh)

that was the most fun at the HM

also the girls are still writing and hoping to get together again

Had on of the ToT CM's get me bad. I was chatting with the my DH as we went into the pre-show and was being an insufferable Disney know it all. The CM snuck up on me so that when we turned to leave the room he was right in my face. I screamed bloody murder and my DH nearly fell over laughing at me.

Not at HM, but I had one at ToT who followed me around staring at me and got right up in my face in the library. He was really good at his role and never cracked a smile. We went back later in the week, and he recognized me and started the whole thing over again. My family thought it was hilarious.

Eleven years ago, my BF and I were walking up to the HM at the beginning of the entrance at the bottom of the hill (there was virtually no line) and the CM approached my BF and handed her a white card and told her he was going off duty and asked her to give it to the CM when she got to the front doors of the HM. We didn't think anything about it and walked up the hill to the doors and when she went to hand the card to the CM, it was the same guy. At first she didn't notice and we had to point it out to her. He was smiling and we were laughing at her. It was pretty cool. Still not sure if he had a twin or got back to the front through another way very quickly. We still laugh about it.

Not a CM, but another guest!! I was on HM with my daughter a couple of years ago, have been on this tons of times. Right when we're at the dinner party scene a guy in the next doombuggy grapped my arm and yelled Boo!!?? Scared the heck out of me. One of the wierdest things that has every happened to me, didn't even know him and don't want to know him!!LOL!!
