How many of you are adding on due to the current incentive??

We added on 110 points to give us 360 total. We did the add-on at SSR. The net result was an extra 320 points for next year. We added on because we bought thinking we would be staying in studios, and have now upgraded to 2-bedroom villas. We will add 200 points at another resort at WDW when it is announced. We like AKL. but not enough to own there.

I'll be adding on 200 pts at SSR if my guide ever calls me back. I already have a Dec. UY, so I'll get 200 2006 points, 200 2007 points, and 270 Developer points.

Yeah, I can do some damage with that!

Plus I have the Disney Visa, so the 500 Mickey Dollars will come in handy. It's like getting an AP for free.

We just returned from our trip to SSR on Sunday 11-11-07. We stopped by the preview center to talk with our guide who happened to be in. DH and I took the tour of the new AKV and previewed a Grand Villa at SSR.

While there, DH and I added on 160 pts at SSR. We received 160 developer pts and were eligible for the Disney Visa 500 reward dollars. It really worked our well for us because we have a December use year so we received 160 Dec 06 pts.
I called Member Services and banked my '06 pts.

Yes, developer points are a one-time deposit of points into your account. There are, however, some stipulations about using developer points:

--Developer points cannot be transferred
--they must be used within one calendar year of the date they were deposited into your account
--you can only use them to book within 7 months or less of your travel dates.

So-o-o, does this mean that you got the 2006 points + the developers points then since you have a Dec. UY in basically 2 weeks you will get ANOTHER 160 points for a total of 480 points that you didn't have on Nov. 10 for the mere price of $94 pp for 160 points?!?!

We are also a Dec UY at SSR and "yes" that would mean 480 points with a 160 point purchase!! With a 200 point purchase you would get 670 (200 for 06, 200 for 07, 270 developer points) points as a Dec UY. And dont forget there is also the $500 Visa reward dollars if you have a Disney Visa.

I believe that to be correct b/c Dec is the only UY left in 07 to be able to receive 06 points.

Too bad what I really want to do is just a small add-on at AKV - but there's no real incentive for us to rush into anything over there since the minimum pts. on this offer is higher than what we want....plus they don't even have 2006 points. One other question about the Dec. UY - does that mean you'd have to purchase before the end of Nov. or just before the end of Dec. in order to get the additional 2006 points? It's a tempting thought for sure....

For the Dec UY you have to make the purchase (contract date) on or before the last day of Nov. and then those 2006 points can be banked into the 2007 points. Since 2007 dues are prorated, and the contract may not close prior to Jan. 1st 08, then there would basically be no dues for 2007 or 2006. On 160 point purchase that is a savings of about $1300!
