Thanks for the update, floridafam!:wave2:
Yes, I am ordering desserts for the cruise.
they have a sampler platter and I want to add some cinderella slippers to that.

I re-entered my new itinerary into Majestic's database and it looks like they just got there today.
Hope he and his family are enjoying themselves at the Poly LVC!:sunny:

And, you, my dear, are almost on your way also!:hyper:

Slept for awhile and got up to watch the Spurs give the Lakers another win.
Poor, poor DH! He was hoping for another NBA title for his favorite team!
LOL!;)

luckywife....I made a clippie for you also.

Feeling creative tonight! LOL!
Anyone want a clippie, just feel free to PM me with ideas.

Wow Bambi, your clippies are really great!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

#1hockeymom I am with you wanting to hear good Poly stories...... especially Poly CL.:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

My friend and I had a sitdown, watch the DVD, figure out game plans, exit routes, best days for which park, how much for meals.... what packages we could do without.... intense. :headache:

I had to resell her on the Poly. She saw CSR in the video and loved it. And really loved the $100.00 (AP) a nite price..... This $340 (ap) a nite is scaring her.... parting with $3,000 for a five night vacation that doesn't include airfare or food is a hard sell... :faint:

The CL portion is going to run about $600 for her six days... ( I'm staying 9 nites) :faint:

Here is what I said so far.... the beach, tiki torches, view of Wishes from lounge, piped in music from Wishes in lounge, breakfast foods steps away from room, Kona cofffee, turn down service, queen sized beds and daybed, large room, the concierges themselves, cordials in evening, evening offerings. All this is Greek to her... she's never been to WDW and I've never stayed at the Poly, much less CL. :earseek:

Oh bother.... :confused3

How are you? Your Poly trip sounds fantastic!!! I've always wanted to stay there and you're selling ME on it. Your friend is sure to be convinced with all your "selling" points!!! ::yes::

What does your countdown look like? We'll have to have our own little celebration when we both get beneath the 200 day mark!!!! I'm almost there!

:cheer2: :rockband: :cheer2:

Hi guys! Great clippies BT, I am clueless with that stuff. Glad your show went well.
Anne- you will love the Passporter! It is a overplanner's dream ( I have bought one for every trip)

You guys, your trips sound great! Sounds like the Poly cl is going to be busy for the next couple months. I am anxious to hear Fred's review, since we will be there in 19 DAYS!!!! We visited the Poly last time we were in WDW and fell in love with the place. I am behaving myself, by the way, and keeping the trip a secret still. It's hard. I took dd shopping for shoes, and she's such a girly girl, she wanted these pink sandals with huge heels, and I couldn't say, "No you can't wear those around WDW," I ended up just having to exert my parental control and get her what I thought she needed.

Welcome to all the new lizards.:wave2:

Whew! I finally caught up with this thread, now there's no time to post a trip report! Hopefully I'll get back here this PM. Briefly, the trip was a mixed bag - lots of wonderful, magical things mixed with some disappointments & kinks, but, as always, we were not ready to leave & are now itching to plan the next trip. I'm going to book soon, as DH is in the "gottagoback" mode & said last night that 2 trips, October & December, sounds like a perfect plan.

Welcome, outahere, ValerieK, and all the other new lizards whose names have escaped my soft-from-vacation brain!

Congrats to k&a&c'smom's DS on the scholarships, and great news for Debbie and her SIL - hope the news just keeps better & better.

Outahere the Poly is wonderful - hope you will love it as we do. It's definitely not perfect, but we feel so at home there, and the location can't be beat. There's just something about being there that makes you feel relaxed. We crashed on our patio (rm. 1503, great castle view framed by palm trees, just like a postcard) one evening when we were completely exhausted and watched the castle change colors for half an hour, sipping our coffee & Frangelico, enjoying the breeze off the lagoon, and the lights of the MK launches. We were rejuvenated enough afterward to go to DTD for a while. If you have specific questions I can answer them on the thread or in a PM.

OMG - this will look so bare without a counter!

WELOME Back to the LIZARD LOUNGE, steveanddonna and CaptainConcierge!!!!:bounce: :bounce:

And big time ROTFLMAO :rotfl: about the counter!
Now, we've got another trip to plan, honey!:teeth:

I know everyone will be waiting around the lounge with great anticipation, to hear the latest Poly CL scoop!
So I've left out some pineapple danishes, bagels and spreads, kona coffee.....help yourselves!

goodferry...It's hard keeping those secrets! Mom knows about the Poly CL, but not about the LVC part! And the AKL suite, Grand 1 and Wanyama safari is still a secret...but since my mother and I are best friends, it's been sooooo hard not to clue her in!:chat:

Duct tape on my mouth will probably be the best thing!:earseek:

Steffy...just an idea. First of all, how many are in your CL room>if it's under the limit, maybe she can do the Poly GV and you can add her name onto your ressie for CL access.
Just a thought!:wave2:

Tess....I didn't see your post several pages back about me getting the 2 Poly LVC rooms with the AP rate!
I looked on Majestic's database and noticed that your stay at the Poly is quite a long one!
Remember, it might just be one of those nights that's keeping you from an AP rate.
To be honest, I first tried the GF RPC and SL...those were sold out! Not even rack rates available....then the CM said that he had 2 rooms at the Poly available and of course I said that I would take them....then he said... well they're both LVC.....:earseek:
I bursted with joy and said YES! YES! YES!::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

So, Lady Luck was looking over my shoulder at that moment.
Besides...the Poly is where mom wants to stay...even a garden view would have made her happy!:sunny:

Welcome back steveanddonna!! I am waiting anxiously for your report! Did you run into Fred?
BT-It's getting more and more complicated for me now that our trip is approaching, and I have a bag started and everything. Sometimes I question whether I am doing the right thing. I know they will be so excited when we pull up to the airport, but then I think, it would be fun for them to be involved in the planning, making envelopes for mousekeeping and counting down the trip. I am going to keep it a secret, though, for now, I think, probably, definitely maybe.

Welcome back Steveanddonna! Please! Tell us all! We'll even help fold your laundry for you!

steveanddonna - WELCOME BACK!!! I know exactly what you mean, you see I had to book another trip just weeks after we returned from our last. Tried to convince DD that we wanted to stay at the Poly and then BWI, but she reminded me we hadn't stayed at WL yet! With my ankle problems, I felt I needed to stay near the parks, so a MK resort and an Epcot resort were definitely in order!! Can't wait for your report on your stay!

Debbie - Yes, listen to your twin, POLY is your next resort!;)

Big Wave to All the Lizards!!!! :thewave:

Hey Every Body - back from our trip to Old Sturbridge Village, where we saw sheep shearing and ye old Blacksmith.

See lot's of updates.

SteveandDonna - Welcome back, can't wait to hear the details of your wonderfully magic trip.

PassPorter - can't remember who asked about this but, I bought one for DW for her birthday. We got it Thursday, and she has been glued to it ever since. Now understand, she has been through The Unofficial WDW Guide & WDW with kids (Fodor) as well as several others she skimmed through. It is dense, but very well organized.

Anyone - what is this Majestic web site I keep hearing about?

We have put together a preliminary itinerary and will be sending in our requests for PSs soon. We are getting so excited, and its still over 3 months away! ugh

Oh BT - love those clippies. You do have a talent

GoofyJoofy--I have been there! I am originally from upstate NY and we would go on school trips there, I loved it.

GoofyJoofy - Glad you had a great weekend!! Majestic is one of our lounge lizards who has a "Who's going when you are" website. He hangs out on the WL FAQ thread mostly, but there is a post of his on the bottom of pg. 119 of this thread. In his sig. under the picture of his lovely family, you'll find a link to this site.:teeth:

Speaking of Majestic....wonder how he and his family are at the Poly LVC?

His web site is a database for "Who's going and When and where", goofyJoofy!

Here's the link for the WL pictures....

And here's the Who's Going site.

Really neat to know who else will be staying there at your resort during your WDW stay!
VAgal and I will be at the AKL the same time and are sharing a safari van!:sunny:

DS was born in Rochester, NY>sure do miss the summers and fall in the Upstate area!::yes::

GoofyJoofy...I got some ideas for a clippie. I'll PM you later this week!:wave2:

floridafam...are you packed yet? And how's DH and family?
If I don't "see" you before you leave....
you and your family have a safe and happy, joyous vacation together!
And Good Luck to your DH!

BT- It looks from your counter that we will miss you by two days. We check out the evening of the 11th. I grew up in the Saratoga area and miss it a lot. There is nothing like summer in the Adirondecks. I am anxious to see the new SSR to see if Disney will be able to capture the essence of the area.

Floridafam-have a great trip!

Everyone.....I need LOTS of prayers and good thoughts! Our 18 month old DS was admitted into the hospital last night with pneumonia. We took him to the ER yesterday because he was wheezing and wouldn't stop crying. The doctor said he just had a chest cold, gave him a breathing treatment and sent us on our way. Early yesterday evening his skin became cold and clammy and he was fighting for every breath so we rushed him back to the ER. They ordered a chest x-ray stat and that's when the pneumonia was discovered. He has IV's in his little arms and cannot leave his oxygen tent. We are not even sure when he'll get to leave the hospital but it probably won't be for 2-3 more days-at least. So please, say a prayer for my little guy!!
I talked to the doctor about what we should do about our vacation. And of course I'd cancel it right away if we have to but he assured us that kids seem to bounce back quickly from these things and that he'd be very surprised if he wasn't better by then. So as of right now we're still planning on going.

bambitamby-thank you SO much for the mickey and minnie picture. That was such a SWEET thing for you to do for me. I LOVE IT! If someone could please PM me to let me know how I can put it in my signature, I'd really appreciate it. I'm afraid if it's posted here on how to do it, I'll miss it since I probably won't be able to check in very often for a few days. Thank you again, BT!!!!!!!

I could (or at least at one point could) get the Polynesian GVC res partially at the AP rate. I think there were maybe 4 of the 9 days later in the week that I could book at AP. I would have done that, but the balance of my family needs the UPH passes (we let the other APs expire since we weren't traveling more than 1x this year and I will renew mine in June). I had already purchased the UPH at a discount and it would cost us more to cancel the UPH and then purchase them for effectively two separate reservations. Since I'm staying at the same resort you wouldn't think it would be that great a deal, but rules are rules. . .

I did check again this a.m. for LVC or GVC and they still had nothing available for our dates at AP--you did get lucky! As I've said before, we were on the phone at 6:59 a.m. the day of release and there were no APs available for Polynesian GVC or LVC by 7:20 a.m. for those dates. I'm guessing it's going to be a busy week!

Perhaps we'll see you and yours in the lounge or around the resort. . .the kids have 9.5 days of school to go and things are becoming frenzied here--really looking forward to our trip. ::yes::

luckywife - I know what you are going through.

Our DD got pneumonia when she was 2 months old. And she had been born 8 weeks early.

Hang in there. Kids do have an amazing ability to bounce back. Much more so than adults.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. :flower3:
Just take care of everyone else and especially yourself!

Sorry to hear about your baby! We know the stress and fear you are under. I wrote a good many pages back about nearly losing our daughter when she was 16 mos--bilateral pneumonia and a severe, near fatal, asthma episode. She was within a hair's breadth of intubation and we spent an agonizing 24-48 hours in PICU with round-the-clock one on one nursing care. I was inside the "tent" with her in order to keep her calm--thankfully, I'm not real tall so we both snuggled in that crib and tent for a couple of days. It was nightmarish and I know exactly how you feel.

While pneumonia is a serious malady--your son will be just fine on the antibiotics and in the tent! Just remember that every nasty procedure your little one has to endure--he won't remember it and you have much happier days ahead.

I'll remember your little guy in my prayers and know that he will be just fine in a few days time! :sunny:

luckywife,

I am sending prayers your way. I'm sure he'll bounce right back. Please keep us posted on his condition!
