Congrats Ead79 on the new job! You must be on cloud 9.

Sorry haven't been around lately. I came to try to catch up today but my daughter and I are going out to play today. :) You are all quite the talkative bunch to say the least! :)

Anyway, we are going in a few days and are very excited about our upcoming stay at the Polynesian. (A little worried too because we love Wilderness Lodge....)

To SteveandDonna and Woodysroundup (they left already I think?) have a great trip! Hope to bump into you guys down there.

Everyone have a good weekend!

Fred

I think you will have a great time at the Polynesian. . of course it's the only place I've stayed at WDW! My kids love the volcano pool!

Of course, I know where your coming from in our worry about changing resorts. . .my kids want to try AKL, and I'm so afraid to book it, coz I *love* the Poly! How silly is that!

Anyway, have a great time~! :D

Congrats EAD79 on the new job :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I think the NY trip might be a good thing. You get to see howyour coworkers act when under stress. I found out my boss is very aggressive and points the finger at others. Yes I am looking for a new job. LOL

You will learn more about the new company in the field than in the office also.

Have a great trip all:wave:

Thank you so much, everyone! I will be flying to NYC on Monday and returning to Atlanta on Wednesday of this coming week. Though I do get nervous about the flying part, I am excited to see NYC, as I've never been before. I wonder if I will get a chance to find that big Disney Store that everyone talks about. :)

Yeah Elizabeth! I am so happy for you!

Have a wonderful trip, Steve and Donna!

To all those afraid to try AKL because they love the Poly... I am trying the Poly after my third trip to AKL so you can make the reverse switch! I think you'll love AKL! Their concierge is wonderful, too! Can't say enough good things about them! I am sure we'll love our trip to Poly, also! DS is really looking forward to the volcano pool, and I can't wait to have the ability to purchase a lapu lapu from a close proximity to my room!:hyper:

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers in the lounge! May your children be perfect angels tomorrow and fairies do all the house cleaning and cooking for you!

Debbie

Debbie - Hey, girl, how ya been?! You are gonna love the Poly - we almost stayed there again this trip, but DD wanted to try WL, and we're getting pretty excited about that, too!

Happy Mother's Day, all you mom lounge lizards!! And a room wave to everybody else!

I am glad to see the thread is still going strong.

Elisabeth--Congratulations on your new job. It is wonderful to get a fresh start.

Can someone please post more information about renewing your vows? My husband never fails to amaze me. I told him that we could renew our vows at Disney and he was all for it if Goofy could do it. Is that possible. I am going to check on the cruise board as well.

Cheers.

First... :bounce: :Pinkbounc EAD79!!!! Way to go!!!

:sunny:  enjoy your trips steveanddonna and majestic!!

:wave2: room wave.

Enjoy Mother's Day.

Mother's Day two years ago was the best yet. My DD and DGD and I had breakfast at CRT. I called my Mom from the castle and Snow White wished her a Happy Mother's Day. I love Snow White.

We were staying at WL... love the Lodge... had a room with a view of the castle. Just wonderful.

I had told my Mom we wouldn't go, as she was so sick. She said go... if I die there is nothing you can do for me anyway. Go.

And go we did. And had the time of our lives. And Mom was still alive when we returned. :p She could watch the video of our trip. Our magical, magical trip...princess: princess: princess:

Mother's Day 2005 we will be back in DisneyWorld. I think by then I will be able to celebrate Mother's Day again. It will be my 3rd Mother's Day without her. Probably not CL as I am blowing the budget on the December trip......

But maybe you can share some stories of what the conceirge's did to made your Mother's Day trips special.

Happy Mother's Day conceirge queens......

:flower3: Happy Mother's Day! :flower3:

Congratulations Elisabeth! I'm really happy for you. Now you can enjoy your Disney trip with a little less stress.

Majestic - I think you are arriving as we are leaving, but maybe we'll bump into each other as my DH grabs his final chocolate chip cookie from the lounge on our way out! Hope you end up loving the Poly as much as we do.

Gotta start preparing brunch for my "bonus moms"

first of all....Elizabeth....way to go! Congrats to you!!!!:Pinkbounc

Looks like Majestic and steveanddonna and Captain Concierge will be the next lizards on their way to WDW!!!!

Can't wait to hear from Woody....hehehehe!
bet she's having a great time with her Mom at WL CL!!!:sunny:

Good stories about CL's mother's days trips....
somehow I would love to take my mom on Mother's Day, but will a trip right before Mother's Day count?;)

We were staying at the Poly CL and it was a mother/daughter trip. First time to take mom to WDW and for her to stay CL.
Plus, it was a suprise for here when we pulled up to the Poly and they were taking our luggage and loading us onto the cart.
The valet said something like how wonderful the Poly CL is and mom told him that she would LOVE to stay concierge one of these days there at the Poly.
He looked puzzled at first, then smiled as I winked at him.

He went on to give a mini tour of the Poly grounds in our cart and then we pulled up to the Hawaii building and looked at mom and said, "well, you've got your wish! you're staying here at the Hawaii building for concierge !"
Mom looked at me and started laughing!
It was so neat to see her laugh and act like a little girl as we went into the reception area to get settled in.
She kept on telling the CL CM that she didn't know until right then that I had booked concierge at the Poly!
The CMs made this such a special trip for us.
(She had a kidney transplant two years before and hadn't traveled for awhile!)
They had a "Birthday party" setup for her kidney's birthday with cake and balloons, etc and a card sign by Minnie, her favorite character.
Simply priceless to see and feel that joy....just like a little girl!::MinnieMo

Whoa! All this talk is going to "make" me want to book another Poly CL trip!;)
Ha! Like I won't when steveanddonna and Majestic come back!

There was a thread also on the Resort Board about someone's positive CL stay at the WL!
So nice to read about other's having a wonderful CL experience at WDW!!!

Left out some cake for everyone! Enjoy!

I'm going to tag onto this thread, I just booked two nights at the Disneyland Paradise Pier CL, Park View for my post-cruise trip in June. We are sailing 7 nights on the Diamond Princess, then flying from Seattle to Orange County so I can go to Disneyland before we fly back East. I am excited about booking Concierge. Any Paradise Pier CL fans out there?

Well everyone, I am off to NYC bright and early tomorrow morning for a trade show with my new company. I will "see" you guys when I get back into town on Wednesday. Don't have too much fun without me. ;) And thank you all so much for being so supportive of me. :)

Sojo, thank you for your good wishes! I had a Fairy Tale Wedding at Disney World this past December, so I am a little bit familiar with vow renewals, as Disney uses the same general policies for both events. Characters are not allowed to attend your wedding ceremony itself, but they are most definitely allowed to attend your reception. Disney only allows ordained ministers/judges/etc. to do ceremonies, so Goofy is out for that too. You could certainly have Goofy at your reception though, which would be GREAT. For tons of info on Fairy Tale Vow Renewals, visit www.disneyweddings.com and www.yourfairytale.com. Remember that the wedding policies/rules/minimums are the exact same with a vow renewal as with a wedding, so the same terrific options are available for your event as for a first time wedding. Disney truly does a terrific job, so I hope it works out for you! :)

Well, I think I'm officially addicted to this site, in addition to be compulsively hyper-focusing on planning my next trip to WDW! LMAO!

As I was in the shower this morning, I was thinking about booking my next trip to WDW, and how to afford Concierge services! So, as I have thoughts running through my head of the time it will take for me to save up enough cash for a trip like this, I thought to myself, "Why don't I split my visit between moderate and AKL Concierge?" Bingo!

So, I figured by spending 4 days at CBR (gotta have a pool with a slide), and 3 days at AKL concierge, I would save about $1,200, yet still spend enough time at AKL to enjoy myself! :Pinkbounc Yay me! ;)

I figured I'd have no problem saving up plenty of money by October, but then I thought, "do I really want to plunk down $6,000 at WDW? $4,000 maybe, but I'd like to have a little left over to save for my tummy tuck and **** lift! Not to mention, we are building a new house and anything decorative will have to come out of my pocket, as my dh doesn't "get it" when it comes to interior decorating! LOL!

So, what do y'all think of my plan? :earsgirl:

Hey! I resent that! Not all of us are "MOMS"!!! :teeth: ::yes::

Hope all you MOMS had a great Mother's Day!

My DW and I are going to the doctor today for a sonogram to see our new baby. We are hopefully going to be able to find out the gender too. Hoping for a boy since we already have our daughter Julia but I will take a healthy baby any day.

Looking forward to the end of this week and sitting in the CL at the Polynesian and soaking in the views.

TTFN!

blowinbubbles - That is great plannin' and schemin' :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Wishing you all the best, enjoy!

We wound up booking CL at BC :hyper: :Pinkbounc long before we found this board.

We kind of stretched our initial budget to do it

But since then we got numerous deals and saved almost $1,300 :teacher:

Since reading this board we are sooo excited :hyper: :hyper: about getting CL

Now I just have to figure out how to post my count down!

Fred - Best of luck for that baby viewing! I'm sure everything will look great! My DH always wanted a girl, but after 2 boys, for our third we just hoped for a healthy baby, boy or girl. To our great surprise, we had DD!!:teeth:

GoofyJoofy - on the login page, scroll all the way down, on the left, you'll find a link for Technical Support. Go there, they have a thread with instructions for you countdown timer!:wave2:

Ohmygarsh, this is so funny, I got bleeped! LOL! I didn't know that the four letter word starting with a "b" that stands for the female body part used to feed children was a bad word, worthy of bleeping! I am so honored! ;) I think it's funny, because once before I used a work that I thought *would* have been bleeped, but it wasn't! Go figure!

Hmm, I think I just might go 4 days AKL and *three* days CBR, just so it seems "real"! :D I think the sunrise safari would be awesome. . although I'm a little worried about my 7 y/o, who is *not* a morning person! hehe
