Bambi, I am SO HAPPY for you! I can hardly wait for you to return. I am so looking forward to your trip report and pictures! If you get the chance, would you mind making a mental note of what the concierge lounge serves food-wise. We are picky eaters, so I would love to know. Oh--do bring pictures too if you get the chance. My next trip is tentatively scheduled for November (if I am able to get a new job soon I might be able to stay concierge, but if not I will be completely happy if I even get to go to WDW this year), and I have to live vicariously through others. :teeth:

YEAH! I am so happy for you, Bambi! I knew you'd get the rooms, but didn't think you'd get them so quickly! WOO HOOO! *humming the carpenters* Ok, who put this song in my head! *laughing*

Debbie
**"HUMMING the CARPENTERS"**song in your head! ~~ (that would be MOI!). :teeth:

BT~And in the end...everything IS as it should be. You have received your JUST rewards. ;) It's only FITTING my dear, for one as philanthropic as you!

Have a MEMORABLE, SAFE and MAGICAL time! See you when you return. :goodvibes: XO

YAY, Bambi!!!!! - I'm almost as excited for you as for my own trip!! I'm so glad you got the extra room you needed for your family - I just knew you would. You are so helpful and encouraging to everyone else, that positive energy has to be rewarded!!:jumping1:

Luv2Trav - I think your question has gotten lost in the celebration!! Try it again - I would answer but do not know anything about WL. :wave2:

I have been off the boards for a couple of days - been trying to decide which cell phone plan to go with (I haven't had a cell phone for several years, after SW Bell ripped me off and I quit cell phones in disgust!!) I've finally chosen a plan and phones, so I can get back to the important things in life - WDW!!:teeth:

Luv2trav,

WL Concierge offers cut fruit, assorted breakfast items like bagels, muffins, struedel, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. in the morning.

For snacks they often have mixed nuts, pretzels, cookies, lemonade and iced tea.

During the wine and cheese offering they have cheese-several different selections, crackers, vegetables and dip, marinated vegetables, one hot dish(gourmet mac n' cheese with pork loin, spring rolls, ribs) one soup or stew, etc. They also have uncrustables for the kids.

Later in the evening they offer desserts and cordials-sometimes apple crisp or pie or cobbler then cookies, smaller bite size brownies, cupcakes, trail mix dipped in white chocolate, "buckeyes" (peanut butter things dipped in chocolate) and several different selections for cordials.

Sometimes you have to ask for soda, juice, chocolate milk but sometimes they have it out.

Hope this helps.

We found the YC Concierge's food offerings to be a little more extensive but WL does a great job.

BT - I hope you enjoy your trip. I'm glad everything worked out with the suite for June! You completely deserve it!

I agree with the "buy it when you get there." I hate to pack and have a really hard time packing light. DH and I compromised that if I could stick to one suitcase, one garment bag, and one train case (he still rolls his eyes) then I could buy anything I "forgot" whenever we get to where we are going.

Am getting ready for my first concierge stay as a "grown up." I am changing my Christmas ressies from POFQ to GF RPC. My sister and I are planning one full spa day - what else can we do that is both girly and pampering?

After reading all the posts about all your wonderful upcoming trips, I did it - I added a night to our Dec. stay!!! By leaving one day early, we were able to maintain our AAA rate!! (Not sure how I'm going to break this one to DH - I HAVE time - but it took weeks to convince him of 6 nights)! Ooooh!!!! He's not going to be happy. I know he'll enjoy it when we get there though. But still, he won't be happy at first. Hmmm... what do I tell him?? :bitelip:

Here's MY reason....When you travel to WDW with toddlers, a good portion of the afternoon is spent on naptime. That's alot of time away from all the action!! This gives us one extra night. Plus with Concierge, how will we NOT enjoy the xtra night??? :teeth:

Nonetheless, I feel so much better knowing we'll be there a full 7 nights...Yippee!!!

:Pinkbounc

that's great news, Woody!!!!
I'm soooooo excited for you!!!!!!

Gosh! Us "lounge lizards" think alot alike!

I added another night, too, on our June trip...after the parents go back home!

Convinced DH that we needed a extra day to recoup
(and enjoy our fabulous suite!) ::yes::

Already changed our tickets, and even got huge chunk of credit for SWA for STAYING an extra day!
I'll use that credit towards one of my business trips, so it works for moi!
:wave2:

Ok....ya'll be sure to feed Dory while I'm gone! ;)

couldn't add an extra night to our March trip (nothing available) so we added a whole trip instead! Poly concierge here we come. It'll be great to be back "home."

BambiTamby, pack light & have a great trip!

Blondie, just noticed the graphic in your signature.
From someone who's done more reels & slip jigs than she can count, keep on dancing!

Oh Bambi...you must be SO excited!! You're going to have so much fun!! I'm excited for you and ALL the fun you'll be having.....get packing girl!!!!

Good call on adding the xtra night at WL!!! You most certainly will enjoy that xtra day in that fantastic room!! You're right - us lounge lizards DO think alike. I think it's a whole different breed of "disneyholic"!! :teeth:

I am so excited about our extra night too! I just feel that much happier about our trip! I ALWAYS say, "if we only had one more day".....I'm sure I'll probably STILL say that but our trip wil be that much better. What DO I tell DH in the meantime....you know, the Disney "conversion" hasn't been successful yet!!

What IS the significance of that litttle fish????????????

Wow, Bambi, your counter looks great!! You're gonna have a great trip - say "hi" to Mickey for us!!:wave2:

BTW - I've thought about adding another day to our trip, but have already bought the flight from SWA. Is it possible to change a flight already booked? (Obviously a complete novice re: air travel!)

:sunny:

Yes you can change your travel dates on Southwest airlines website. It is very easy. Click on the travel section at the top of the page. Then go to change reservation. Enter your name and confirmation no. Your reservation should come up with all the details. You can enter any changes you like and check the price to see if it is the same. Then just click accept changes and you have a new reservation. You can also do this if the price goes down and get a credit for future travel to be used within the next year.

Bambi>> Have a safe trip and a wonderful vacation! You're leaving in just hours!

I posted the feeding schedule for Dory on the wall so we won't accidentally feed our mascot concierge phone calling fish too much while you're gone! I know you'll be able to relax all that much more knowing that Dory will be in safe hands in the concierge lounge. LOL

Debbie

Thank you, disneyfor3!!! I have wondered this on previous trips, but assumed after I purchased airfare, I was locked-in. Thank you so much!!

Aren't these boards great!!:happy1:

p.s. I'll be happy to take my turn feeding Dory!!::yes::

You are absolutely correct, disneyfor3!::yes::
Thanks for helping k&a&c'smom out!

What IS the significance of that litttle fish????????????

WoodysRounup....
did you see "finding Nemo" ?
In one part of the movie, Dory is going into the darkness, and telling Marlin, to just keep swimming, swimming,.....
(just keep doing it til you get where you want to be or what you want!)

For us "lounge lizards", that translates to....

just keep calling, calling, calling.....!
to get that CL room at a great price!:teeth:

k&a&c'smom and Debbie....thank you for taking care of our little mascot!:sunny:
