MickeyMac..ROTFL!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Kimberle...I know what you mean!(search) Glad you were able to get a room on the 14th floor so we can get the scoop!
I know dreamflight has stayed in a suite on the 14th, and she said it is fabulous!

I'm on the waiting list for the 14th floor MK view 2 bedroom suite.
But, I'm NOT holding my breath!

I'll do the CR TC, and you do the 14th floor hospitality room and then we'll have the COMPLETE CR CL information!

PS...it's HARD not to add on a couple more days at the AKL CL!;) ::yes::

Speaking of AKL CL....

Debbie....what IS your room number and did you get a
"welcome back" gift in your room one night?

I'm not kidding you all....the AKL CL is AWESOME!

steveanddonna..you need to let Captain Concierge read all this AKL CL info!;) :teeth:

Speaking of.....where has he been?

We are booked at the Poly LVC and I keep expecting to receive something in the mail from them. Is this something they do?
Thanks in advace!

Hi Luckywife! We're getting ready to leave for our AKL CL/BC CL trip on Wednesday. I took the initiative and called/e-mailed the concierge staff at each hotel to touch base with them. They have emailed me my itinerary noting the PS's they have made for me. We originally planned to stay at WL CL and did receive a form to complete re our preferences from the IPO staff there, but after we switched to AKL and BC, I suspect that by taking the initiative in calling/emailing AKL/BC that they did not send the form as it would have been redunant. Hope you enjoy the Poly CL. We stayed there several years ago and really enjoyed the evening food offerings and desserts.

We're doing the Wanyama Safari that same night!

Sue told me that there's still room for 4 more adults!;)

Imagine doing a safari with BT?????
:teeth: :wave2:

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

You'd be the envy of everyone here in the Lizard Lounge! LOL!

Not putting you under ANY pressure or anything! hehehehe!

BT - DS is only 8 years old - he's not allowed on it since the minimum age is 16 . Believe me I've tried to coax them but they aren't going to make that exception - LOL! I was very attracted to the sunset since we are not what you call early risers ! But, hey, we will definitely have to get a little lounge time in before I check out the next morning!

SteveandDonna--have you ever had dinner at Crystal Palace? Our ressies are for dinner right now, this will be our first time there.
BT-12, almost 13 and he will be lucky to make it some days!!! He has his own personality all the sudden. He thinks for himself and has all these OPINIONS, it's annoying sometimes. I swear he argues the color of the sky with me! I guess it is another step on the road to adulthood. I can't believe he is going to be a teenager. I keep telling him he is going to be a lawyer, because he could convice the Pope he wasn't catholic!

luckywife - I was able to snag Poly CL about 6 weeks before the start of our trip, then I emailed IPO a few days after I was able to make the res. They emailed me an itinerary form to fill out and email back.

However, a week or so later, I received the form and some information about CL in the regular mail (brown envelope and brochure.) By that time, it was unnecessary, as I had already provided the info requested on this form.

:wave2:

goodferry - We love the Crystal Palace for dinner!!::yes:: This is our favorite character dinner on property, we love the setting, the Pooh characters, the food is very good and there is a good variety to choose from. You will love it, I'm sure!

steveanddonna - We have never eaten breakfast at CP, but you are making us want to! The Disney magazine had a recipe for the Breakfast Lasagne that sounded terrific! We love to go to EMH at MK, but have never thought to schedule a late b'fast, we don't usually do a big breakfast. We're gonna have to try it, obviously!!:teeth:

Debbie - Where y'at, girl?!:sunny:

goodferry...ROTFLMAO!!!! :rotfl: You've just pinned down the perfect example of my DS!!!!

VAgal....OK....if you bring your DS and DH along, I can bring my DS along and we'll can have our own safari!
Sue told me that if no one objected we could have DS on our safari. So, with ya'll, we would be full (8) and having some quality fun!

Believe me....I wouldn't be paying the bucks if it wasn't an awesome safari and dining experience!
And the food at Jiko's is fabulous! Lots of goodies for the boys!

Just something to think about.....::yes::

k&a&c'smom....CP is a wonderful character meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We try to get that one in evey trip.
And I am so happy you were able to experience Poly CL.
Are you addicted now? ;)

And where IS Debbie??????:bounce:

BT - You think they'd really let DS go along???? Girlfriend, I'm giving them another call. It's definitely worth it to see what answer I'll get ;) :p! Whoo hoo....maybe we got a shot? I'll tell you sent me and we have each other's blessing to bring our little ones along - LOL!

EDIT - Just called Sue and she said it was still a no go :(! I begged, but to no avail. According to her they are trying to keep this to adults only because of the experience....I WANT THAT EXPERIENCE - LOL! BTW, check your PMs - you should have a message from me also.

Toodles, Lizards, its back to work I go!

Tedmom & k&a&c'smom

Thanks for the great info. Now that you've both answered my question, I'm pretty sure what Melissa emailed to me (the itinerary) is the same thing I've read that some people get in the mail. Definitely no need to have two of the same thing.

Thanks again for the help everyone! :D

Okay my Lounge Lizard buddies-I need a little help.

Can anyone tell me about the Dolphin and their Club Level?

(We just stayed YC Concierge-will be be disappointed/expecting too much)?

I may be able to convince DH for a Christmas trip at the Dolphin because the price is right.

BT~I wannnnnna GOOOOoooo!!!! :hyper:

There are so many things to do with toddlers...~I believe they would also love the Honey I Shrunk the kids playground in MGM studios, the water fountains all over the parks where the kids run around in swimsuits, character meals, Mickey's toon town fair (surely), maybe even the coloring, etc. (masks) promoted by Family fun magazine throughout the countries of Epcot! DD, DH & I STILL enjoy these fun breaks in the afternoon. We all design a mask, and now have one for all the past summers we visited! LOL.

14th floor @ the CR...one of our FAVORITES! In fact, DD told me last eve, she wants to stay there again NEXT summer, as we are pondering something else (AKL...etc) this summer! It is such a "special" experience, and the staff is incredibly attentive. There's no comparison. I get excited just thinking about it...and the rice crispie treats (one of my favs). ;) The accomodations are roomy, comfy with a view that can't be topped (we overlooked the MK). It's always been one of our favorite resorts...and remains so today.

Looks like we may be taking another Disney Cruise sooner than anticipated! I was planning on August, 2005, but a news release has us all excited over a different option. Dreams unlimited is anticipating the release of the information on/about May 4/5~regarding the cruises sceduled to begin out of long beach on MAY 14, 2005! We are already on the list for a 7-day, possibly a 14 day transitional cruise. We may reserve a 1BR suite (or specialty suite ...ROY/WALT)...and enjoy it first class all the way. DD graduates in MAY, so this would be a perfect way to Kick-off the summer vacation! If we opt to skip the Disney cruise, we are taking the QM2 across the Atlantic, or Cunard, etc. ::yes::
I've been waiting A LONG TIME for the DCL to come to So. Cali! We are less than 2 hours from LB, and would be able to hop on the ships for a 3-day on any given weekend! HOORAY for this wonderful news! :jumping1:

Thanks for the idea and additional info. about Crystal Palace! I can't believe we've never done it! We'll try it this time for sure!

Steveanddonna...You are SO right about the little ones creating their own magic! They seem to find the magic in the otherwise ordinary things as well. It's so neat to see things through the eyes of a child, isn't it? :sunny:

twoboyz4us... You still have time....Lots of PD to you for a CL opening for Sept.!

Tedmom... You're almost back in paradise...Yippee! :earseek:

11 MORE DAYS FOR US UNTIL WL/CL!!!!! :jumping1:

dreamflight... So cute that you do the kidcot stops in Epcot....I didn't know they "allowed" adults. We'll have to do this for sure this time!

WHAT EXCITING NEWS FOR YOU ABOUT THE CALI DISNEY CRUISE...Good for you!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Bambi - Yes, we have definitely become addicts!! DD and I are trying to plan a summer trip, while accommodating our family obligations, and DD says "Now, is that with concierge?" I've created a CL monster!! I keep saying, maybe this next trip should be a BUDGET trip, but who am I kidding?!;)

DF - I saw that item about the announcement of DCL out of southern CA, and I thought what great news for our west coast friends!!::yes:: YAY!!:sunny:

It's tough to be away from here for 2 days!

Elizabeth-another Lizard here who's got you on her mind and sending PD your way.

Floridafam-so glad to hear you're all doing better and looking forward to your trip.

luckywife-your question about the key to CL reminds me of my first night at Poly CL. DD(3 1/2) & I were on the beach having a great time waiting for the EWP to start when DD needed to use the bathroom. I brought DD to the pool's restrooms but she was scared and wouldn't even step inside. So here I am 6 months pregnant and all the buildings looked the same and I'm trying to find CL. I finally find it but forget that I need to use my room key to get in. Luckily one of the CL CM's took pity on me and let us in and reminded me that I needed to use my key. I didn't forget after that!

WoodysRoundup-the Crystal Palace is great! All 3 of my kids loved it when we went for lunch to celebrates DS's 3rd birthday. That was were DS lost his fear of the characters (on our last day-we'll try it earlier this time.) Even DD (11 1/2 months) couldn't get enough of Tigger and she wouldn't even look at any of the princeses at CRT. The food was really great too-really nice food for adults and a great kids buffet-tie-dyed (still don't know how they did it) bread to make PB&J sandwhiches with.....we didn't do the dessert bar because we had cake but it looked great. I thought the character breakfast at Ohana's was OK but we LOVED dinner there and baby DD LOVED the pineapple bread. It will become our first night tradition.

Debbie-love your tip about Cindy's slipper-DD is the perfect age for starting that! I was the one who asked you to share.

goodferry-so funny about your DS. My DH says DD(5 next month) will make a good lawyer-I think she'll keep us hopping.

Dreamflight-thanks for putting into words what this accountant has been feeling. I do still have moments when I think I'm crazy to spend this money but I think of the joy and memories our family is making and not just our memories of them but also their memories of each other. I think this shared joy will create bonding relationships for them as siblings.

I finally told DH this weekend I want to go this year (he already knew I was planning a 2005 trip). I really want to go again while DD believes that Pooh is Pooh. He didn't say much so I figure he's thinking one of three things. 1-he may hope I'll change my mind (we've been married nearly 20 years so he must know that won't happen). 2-he knows there no fighting it so he might as not even try or maybe even 3-he had a great time last year and wants to go back too. I did get him to tell me he wants to stay at the Polynesian. I asked him if he wanted CL and he said YES. I told him we save money by staying at value resort and do the food court and he said "that would get old". So I guess I should call soon and make a reservation for November and add a counter to my signature. He's a worrier and was a bit stressed last trip so I'm trying to figure out how to reduce his stress. I think I'll do a limo instead of renting a car so we'll only need to bring a car seat for the baby on the plane and let them provide 2 boosters. I also think I won't rent a full size crib this time. That was a bit of a hassle for him to assemble and pack up and the baby only slept in it 1 night. Half the time at home we're 3 in a bed. He also now knows the layout of the Polynesian so he should feel more comfortable.

So does anyone have any limo reccomendations?

Any idea when November AP rates might be released?

lovesdumbo-after reading your story, I'll make SURE I have my key with me all the time. Is there some "secret" way I can find my way around the grounds at night and not get turned around? Heck, I can get lost when the sun is shining so when it's dark, I may not stray too far from our room

Kimberle,
I have searched for 14th floor info too, and I know what you mean about it being mysterious. I can't wait to read your report about it! If you get the chance, please take pictures of your room--I would love to see them! :)

lovesdumbo,
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts! :)

luckywife-as long as you're not pregnant I think you'll be fine:teeth: Its actually very easy to find as it the one closest to the pool and beach. I just somehow got confused at the pool and ended up not closest to the beach. I told my DD that we needed to find our building and the rest of the trip she kept saying "that looks like our building house but its not." She was very good at spotting the CL building because of the windows in the lounge.

Don't be afraid to walk around at night-its one of the best things about the Poly with the Tiki torches and music it really is quite magical-even my 3 year DD appreciated the magic of the Poly at night.

OK, guys, I just booked WL and BWI for the end of July/first of Aug.!!:teeth: The only thing available at WL was std. and woods view, no CL or courtyard view, but I did get CL at BWI!! Now, I'm just waiting for AP rates to come out, hopefully I'll be able to apply them to my res.

Bambi, can I impose upon you for a new clippie?!:teeth:
