How many of ya'll been "bitten" by the Concierge "bug"!

We are going to the Polynesian in September. Loved it so much last year, had to repeat it! Here is my question..
We have a LATE flight scheduled for the day we check out. I know the bellman will hold my luggage, but can I still have access to the lounge? This would be our home base until the car picks us up. Or does access end when we checkout? Thank you for your help!

My experiences with concierge at Disney are that if it is within reason, they will do anything for you. I don't see a problem with your request.

Welcome to our thread, callaghan!
And yes, you can use the CL until you leave.
Just tell them your dilema when you are checking out, or the night before.
In fact, they will even "store" a couple of personal items for you at their front desk, downstairs in the checkin area at the Poly CL.

We've done this twice, so I speak from experience.
We went to the MK, came back and "checked-out" and had the bellman store our luggage, but we kept our "personal stuff" and swimsuits.
We swam and enjoyed the CL the rest of the day, changed back into our morning clothing, had the evening offerings and were ready to have the towncar pick us up at 7pm.

Hope this eases your mind! The Poly CL is wondeful at accomodating their guests.

Just as Fred, Bambi posted...it should not be a problem. ~We have done this in the past as well, and enjoyed the refreshments & relaxation of the CL lounge, as we "savored" our last moments in the resort/WDW. We love to sit, and reminisce about all the times we have shared, and the moments we will always remember. : It's a WONDERFUL way to end a MAGICAL vacation...and I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we do. Sept. will be here before you know it...have a FABULOUS time planning until then!

I have been watching the Illuminations cruise thread for May. We have a cruise for DH's birthday that the concierge booked for us. Has anyone shared a cruise that the concierge booked? What do I do if I do share, do I email them the updated number of people or just show up with more people? And had anyone shared a cruise and had a bad experience with the other people? Just curious.

ValerieK...I've never shared a birthday cruise, but have shared the Illuminations cruise many times with other DISers.
In fact, I was one of the first here on the DIS to post about sharing a cruise....that led to one thread being created, because of all the posting!
It's nice to meet other DISers and split the costs of a cruise,
and yes, you DO need to email concierge and tell them the number.
Some of the boats only hold 8, not 12.

I shared an Illuminations cruise that the BWI concierge booked for us this past December. It worked out very well, and we enjoyed meeting some DISers. I did let the concierge know about the extra people, and Bambi is correct about the boats holding different numbers of people (it also depends on how many are adults and how many are kids). If my memory serves me, I think our pontoon boat held either 10 adults or 12 people if several were kids, but I would definitely verify the correct number.

Well, this is just me talking, ValerieK....but I would want my birthday cruise to be more of a private thing.
And I'm a very gregarious person and all....but some things I like to celebrate with people I know.

You do what you want though.
We're all different, and what bothers one person, doesn't another.

BTW....my mom hinted to me again, about the Poly and of course, she's always wanted to stay at the BC.
Gosh! I've got the CT TOWER Club , the Dolphin Exec Suite, the Poly LVC, and the BC C booked for the same dates because I haven't decided where to put everybody!

I thought you were supposed to have multiple resorts booked for the same nights? I almost forgot to call the Dolphin about my dates for this week! Had I not called them, I'd be charged for tonight! As it turned out, our flight dates totally changed from what our original reservations were.

WOO HOOO my counter is moving quickly! Had the AKL smell dream again! Our towncar is booked, and all the passes/vouchers have been found! We're getting ready for Disney! I am still holding out on those CRT reservations coming through. I have a good feeling about this trip!

argh!!! I forgot to thank you for that clippie! I never thought I'd make it through teaching last week. Must have been something in the water up where I teach but they were, ummmm, lets just say it was tough and I used more suspension forms in a week than I ever have! The octopus is cute! I will assume, he was blessed, also! lol

I have the suitcases out! Didn't open them yet, but out is so much further than I usually am! Tomorrow is manicure/pedicure day, before the big game, of course!

I bet baby ankole is so big now! Can't wait to see the whole family, and my "other" home!

Sending PD to momrules for a good room, in the right resort! I also saw that thread, and felt they should have been upgraded not downgraded!

Thank you for the P and PD! Whatever happens, I'll be with most of my family in our happy place! I'll be a phone call away from my first born, who at last phone call was in Alabama, on the way to Panama City. No problems at all with the drive! She knows I'll be calling her from the castle even if its just at the ground floor. ACK! My baby is on her own trip! How did this happen? I digress....
