Hey, everybody!! Heading out in a few hours - had to tell y'all bye!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

LOL! Debbie, only a teacher would ask that question!! I guess a big "M" would be the correct answer!;)

See ya real soon!!

Have a wonderful trip! Maybe we'll pass each other coming and going! Tell Baby A that I'll be there soon!

I grabbed the AKL CL and we're doing the sunrise safari :p! Couldn't do sunset since Ds is not 16 yet. I didn't know they even had an age limit on it:confused:? We're going to love it though. Love the dancing hamsters! Boy, I wish I was a single digiter right now !

Ya'll have a good day!

BambiTamby... Always compiling info. for my "notebook" , you know!!! Okay, you said the 5th floor rooms at AKL face the Arusha Savannah if facing inwards. Does that mean there are other concierge rooms on the 5th floor (facing outwards?) that do not have savannah views? I guess what I'm getting at is - if you book at CL room at AKL, are you assured some type of savannah view? Also, bus transportation is dedicated only to AKL, right? I realize AKL is kind of far out there - is the bus transist swift?

BTW, 12th fl. CR connecting rooms sounds AWESOME! ::yes::

VAgal76.... Ooooh....that sunrise safari sounds great!!!

Just got off the phone with IPO and got all our PS's, spa appointment, room request, etc. taken care of. I can't believe how lucky we were - got everything we wanted at times we wanted. Hopefully this means it's not going to be too crowded when we are down there.
Now I'm even more excited to get there. I keep reminding myself that the ability to delay gratification is a sign of maturity...but I'm not so sure I really
want to be mature!

:jumping1: Are we there yet?!?!

steveanddonna--that is exactly how I feel!!! I am wayyyy too old to be this excited two months before a trip to see a stuffed mouse. :wave2:
congrats on getting all your arrangements made. I am waiting to hear back on several of ours (CRT, Illuminations Cruise)

Has anybody here used the Neverland Club at the Poly? I am considering it. I have already lined up some in room care for our 1year old so she can nap and I can ride::yes:: I am not sure about the older ones, though. We usually take them everywhere with us, so they are well behaved and I wouldn't be nervous about taking them anywhere, not even V&A's. They may enjoy some time away from US, though. I am still on the fence on this one.

goodferry - We used the Neverland Club for our son when he was 7, he loved it. They give you a beeper, just in case. We put him there when we went to V&A's and we went to Mk and rode some rides together. It was nice to have some time by ourselves.

Has anyone stayed at CSR? I think we might stay there with my mom. I have always stayed at a deluxe resort, but it looks nice and the pool looks great. No concierge though, what am I going to do. :earseek: I am just too spoiled.:teeth:

budget mom,

My stay at YC concierge easily ranks as one of my favorite concierge experiences. The staff we encountered there was incredibly friendly and helpful. The lounge is elegant and spacious, and we loved our room. The decor is really well done and in keeping with the theme. Concierge guests get pretty much the same things at the YC as in the other concierge levels. We got pre-planning assistance, concierge staff to assist us with any needed priority seatings, etc. during our stay, bathrobes in our room, and access to the concierge lounge with it's food and beverage offerings.

Here is a link to my review of my stay at YC concierge (it's on page 6 of the thread about halfway down the page):

Just saying Hello to BudgetMom!

I've not been to WDW at all :( so I can't comment on resort choices, but the others can! YC....from the pics that ead79 linked, it looks NIIIIICCCEEEE. I heard a lot of good things about YC & BC.

Check back often because I'm sure these folks will be able to answer your questions ::yes::!

Hello VAgal76--This will be my familiy's 2nd trip to wdw. We went in 02 to reward our 3 oldest children for being such angels during the first 6 mos of our life with our 4th child. We stayed at all star movies so my husband wouldn't have a major colapse over the cost of the trip. He didn't want to go--he just knew he would be miserable and hate the whole thing--heat,long lines, and cranky children. To make a long story short he loved it Big Time and was ok with us going back this summer. We became experts in using fastpass and maping out our day and sticking to it. ...we made everyone take a nap each day. This year I wanted a more deluxe pool so I booked the YC and hope to eventually get a good discount so that I won't spoil the breadwinners time! All star movies was great we just wanted something differnt this time.

Elisabeth, your pictures are beautiful! Now I want to try the YC concierge.

Valerie, thanks. My twelve year old thinks he may be a little too "old", but maybe the 8 and 5 year olds will enjoy it!

Hi VAgal76,
What did they tell you the age limit was for the sunrise safari? I was hoping to book it, but I didn't know there was an age limit. I have two boys. One is 7 and the other will be turing 5 right after our trip. Thanks.

I am so jealous to the people at the resort right now. I don't think I can last until June 6th :bounce:

ead79, thank you so much for posting your review and pictures. I am staying at the Yacht Club this June and I loved seeing your photos. I was a bit nervous when I heard that Amy Jacobson was no longer working in the Concierge office there. Everyone talks about her as if she were the absolute best thing to happen to WDW and apparently she is because she is now the Platinum Plan Coordinator. I should not have worried though because I have been working with Lauren and she is truly wonderful. She has taken care of all of my reservations for me. It is amazing to not worry about calling for the illuminations cruise or Cinderella's Royal Table. She got me the Breathless for July 5th which is my birthday. I am so excited! If I had known that it would be this great, I would have gone concierge a long time ago.

SOJO33 - I'm jealous of you!!! You'll be going almost 2 weeks before me!!! Anyway, no age limit on SUNRISE safari. I did some checking & I'm sure DISers will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they do serve alcohol (wine/cordials) with the SUNSET safari with a higher per person charge. I didn't know the difference when I called to make my ressies. After calling, I read one of BT's posting that linked the review & info to ourlaughingplace.com on another thread that gave the review and explained it more. I feel Sunset would be a better experience, but while I can pass my DS off 9 or 10 it would be an unbelievable stretch for 16. It wouldn't happen anyway - I couldn't fib & they have the info regarding children's ages on file there. I think it is also a switch off because the more budget minded could to sunrise. I thought the Sunrise was one heck of a deal and well worth the money for what you get. I believe the photo ops are going to be great. While the animals are most active in the a.m. and p.m. I think the evening would be better for activity. I feel like they stir more in the evening around our home so just going from there. I just know I'm going to have to do sunset safari one of these days.....maybe for our anniversary, Feburary is a great time of year....hhhmmm! Maybe I should start planning another trip? :smooth:

Anyway, if you get a chance - I'd go for it ::yes:: because it sounds like great fun!

BudgetMom - Keep in mind that sometimes - WE ARE WORTH IT! I don't think you can go wrong with CL. I mean who DOESN'T want to pampered? :teeth:

I am glad you guys found the YC pictures to be helpful. Ever since joining the DIS I have taken pictures of my resort rooms to share with others. For some reason, I actually like to see all the different types of room decor to help me decide which resort (especially in cases where the resorts are very similar like the YC, BC, and BWI).

I was wondering what happened to Amy. The first call I got was from her, but then Lauren started to handle everything. Lauren has been great. I am hoping that she can get us into CRT, but if not than we got the PSB. It will be closer to us anyway.

goodferry I don't think my Ds would go back now. He is almost 11 and I think he would be too old.

goodferry I was going to say that your DS isn't too old for the Neverland club, but, you know, once they think they're too old, forget it! They're just way too cool to enjoy it! For the ones still willing to have some fun there, we met an 11 year-old seasoned Disney vet from NJ on our trip last January and she was telling us about her "nights out" at the Neverland Club. She considered those times her breaks from the rest of the family!

Is it December yet???

Woody I think we are going to drive ourselves completly crazy by December...

Bambi, I tried to PM you. Your box is full..

If I change resorts will my second resort be at the higher fee? If I check into the Poly CL on Dec 17 and then got to AKL on Dec 24 and stay until 27th, will the last 3 days be holiday rate???:) :p :(

Is it December yet????

 As you know, I feel your pain!

Coming to these boards helps, but I still don't know how we'll make it to Dec.!! We'll have to have our own little celebration when we make it below the 200 day mark!

BTW, I forgot....Have you stayed CL at Poly before????
