Hi #1hockeymom and thanks for the info. I think AKL will win hands down - DS loves giraffes and it would be so great to just sit on the balcony and watch them.

Any one know how far in advance you can book your rooms? also does booking very early mean that you stand a good chance of getting the floor you want (We would hope to get 5th floor)

IPO is Itinerary Planning Office-at least for Wilderness Lodge.
(or you can refer to it as the Island Planning Office)

Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian Resort share an itinerary planning office. Sometimes you'll get an e-mail with an Aloha or Mahalo in it even though you're staying at WL.

Okay STEVEANDDONNA...Have I got this straight?? Is the IPO separate from the Concierge "Office" or are they one in the same? In other words, do I contact IPO separately from the Concierge 90 days out?? (Because, you know, it's imperative that I know this now. I only have over 200 days to plan). Ha! Ha! BEAUTIFUL weather we're having, huh? We were out all morning. How 'bout you?

I haven't decided if conversing on these boards makes it easier or harder awaiting our Dec. trip!!! It's not even summer and I can't wait for autumn!!

WoodysRoundup - Thanks for the PD! Re: the boards and whether it helps or hurts, I think it helps, mostly!! Although it keeps you thinking about your trip, you can get your fix reading other posts! We booked just a few weeks before our Dec. trip, so this time around seemed like FOREVER, booked Jan. 6 for April. But, I tried not to wish the time away, just planned a little piece of our trip each week. That way, it felt like progress, but not like I was completely ready to walk out the door!

p.s. The weather here in MO is beautiful today, too! 65 degrees, sunny, flowers and trees blooming, fantastic!

I was shut out of the boards! Everything was just going along just fine until DH registered on the boards this AM with a name of his own (he's captainconcierge - isn't that appropriate?) Now I can't get on unless I use a different browser. I couldn't imagine what I'd do without my concierge board!

Anyways, WoodysRoundup, I've only ever called IPO. Is there a direct & different # for concierge office? IPO has always handled everything for us. Yes, the weather was gorgeous earlier. We were at the zoo checking out the baby polar bear until the wind kicked up - then we were freezing. I can't wait for Florida!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

This is sort of lounge related so I hope you can help. I've gotten my DS surfing lessons at TL, but we have to be there at 6:00 am! What time is coffee & other items put out in the lounge? It would be nice to just grab something at the Lodge, but didn't know if they start that early. If not the lounge, where can we get something to eat (and more importantly to me - COFFEE) ? I'm sure I'm not the only where the brain doesn't begin to function until after my first cup of joe .

big local Charity Ball tonight (I sell formalwear, also) and three huge conventions AND a local college alumni reunion in our town this weekend!

The AKL CL is a wonderful choice!

IPO for the concierges are divided like this...
Poly and WL use Island Planning Office, and it's located at the Poly.
IDA is really AIDA, that works at the Poly CL.
(pronouced like Ida...I remember her NOW! LOL!)
In fact, I get a Christmas card from them, Poly CL and AKL CL every year!


CR and GF share their own IPO, which is housed at the GF.
YC, BC, and BWI share an IPO, which is located at the YC.
And AKL has their vert own IPO, which is, of course, on the first floor at AKL.
They really only make PS's/arrangements for the days you are there., but have been known to make a PS for a day before or after you checkin....just between you and me....just be VERY NICE on the phone.

OK...AKL 6th floor bedding assignments/room numbers.
On the Sunset savannah side, which we just returned from, and
LOVED IT!.....
OK....the room with 2 queens and daybed is on the poolview, #6402.
The rooms with KING and daybed are #6207 and 6403.
The handicap-access rooms are #6203 (roll-in shower)
and 6204 (tub).
The rooms with queen, bunks and daybed....
#6401, 6404, 6202, 6208.
The rest are 2 queens.
There are 15 rooms on the sixth floor,
rooms #6201-6209 are the savannah, and #6401-6406 are PV.

We've stayed on the 5th on the Zebra Trail facing the Arusha Savannah, and loved it there also.

We missed you! and what great information! Oh, I am so torn on room locations! I am just going to pray there is a run on pool view concierge rooms so they just have to put me at the end of a trail someplace! Now go put your feet up and have a nice glass of wine!

VAgal...the CL's open at 6am-ish.
Should be a coffeemaker in your room though, for that early am java rush!

We are leaving in 29 days to stay at BC Conceirge level. We have never stayed at the BC. DS does not know we are going, so DH and I don't talk about it much. We have stayed Poly CL twice and WL and loved it, but we wanted to try a different resort. I hope I didn't make a mistake not staying in the MK area. We tend to spend a lot of time over there.

It will be Dh's 40th birthday and the IPO booked a birthday Illuminations Cruise for DH as a surprise! He just thinks we are going to dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I have no idea what those dancing things are, but boy are they ever cute!

Hi all! I got my daughter the cutest little bathing suit for our trip! It has a hula skirt and everything. Of course, I can't give it to her because she would think I am nuts because none of the kids know we are going. It is KILLING me No one to share the excitement with, well DH knows, but he thinks I am nuts. Not that he isn't excited to go, he is, but he just can't think this far ahead. He will start talking about it like three days before we go.

Valerie- let us know how your cruise is. I am trying to book one for our trip (unsuccessfully so far) DS wants to do this badly, actually he asked if I could book the Grand1 someday when we go again, maybe when he's older

I wonder if some people change their mind about resorts all the time is so they can plan more!! I could see that happning!!! You know, between us, I'm thinking of doing the Poly LV CL before the WL CL in June.
I do LOVE the Dolphin, but mom told me that she really missed the Poly......hint! hint!
She only knows about the WL CL and Yosemite Suite.

The first time we went to WDW, was on mom and dad, and they sprung for the Poly, almost 9 years ago.
And I've taken them to the Dolphin several times and done the executive suite thing there...which, btw, IS NICE!....
but, the Poly LV CL has been calling my name......
