I just got off the phone with Melissa from the IPO. She is so sweet, we must have talked for a 1/2 hour.

I am having fun planning this trip with someone, because while my family loves Disney as much as I do, they are NOT interested in all the logistics.

ead- You were just in my hometown! Glad you liked our beautiful city; too bad the weather was less than delightful. I hope you'll be back when the sun is shining!

steveanddonna--what gives, are you moving part-time to Florida?

That's the plan! After our March trip & the winter that would never end we were "what iffing" and decided to forego our plans to build a summer home in SW Michigan in favor of spending the winter months in a warmer clime. We will be retiring to the Carolinas someday, but that is 20+ years in the future, and we are sick of the northern climate right now. Since we are both in freelance industries, and DH's business allows him to pick up clients wherever there are conventions, corporate meetings, etc. we decided to give central Florida a try, most likely mid-January thru March. We will be renting a friends house in Bay Hill for several weeks in early 2005 as a test run.

VAgal Take a deep breath, now think of the castle...the monorail...those zebradomes at Boma...and let go of the stress!
BTW, I LOVE heat, and the humidity makes my hair look good!

NOW, a question for you all... I have not been to WDW in the summer since 1972. How are the crowds in August? Am I going to regret indulging DH on this one? Don't see how I could ever regret being in the middle of the magic, but I don't want to ruin my rose-colored image of WDW with a less-than-magical stay. Somebody tell me that I'm going to love it even with crowds & bugs & thunderstorms! (well, I love thunderstorms anyways, so maybe that's not a big negative after all.) Give me a peptalk so I can get truly psyched and start planning!

First of all, we are pretty fiscally conservative about most things, so when we go to Disney we do it all the way. We also use APs and usually get either an AP or postcard discount. We've gotten as much as 45% off with an Amex postcard a few years ago (before Disney Visa). We also usually go in value season, or at least regular, hardly ever peak. Our ATA rewards often covers one airfare and our AA Advantage miles get us a couple of days free car rental, so we can put our budget towards accommodations.

BT A Lounge Lizard get-together - what a great idea! I see the ultimate trip planning session in the future of this thread! OMG - we'd probably have all the concierge CMs at every resort on overload!

I'll be working on some clippies on and off this weekend, I have a huge sidewalk sale starting tomorrow am, so I won't be able to hang out at the lounge much this weekend.

steveanddonna...we were there last july/August for the passholder weekend for Mission space and it was HOT, humid, and crowded, but, look at it this way...you're at WDW!
Do the parks early and plant yourself by the pool for the rest of the day!

Has anyone on this thread stayed club level at HRH? I have read not so glowing reports about it over on the Universal boards. But even at that theres not much information.
My most liked aspect of club level is being able to go in and have a nice leisurely breakfast with the kids(x's 4). I am beginning to think I am gonna really hate running around first thing in the am. Any experience with this?

twinmomplus2new...haven't stayed at HRH, but having the convenience of a continental breakfast with milk and juices for the kids is always a big help!

Hi lindeyspol. You are a woman after my own heart. I am also surprising my hubby with the AKL CL and sunrise safari. We are going to be there June 6th thru 10th and it looks like you will be there around the same time. When is your safari? I am personally about to die from all the deception. I kept telling him how sorry I am that I didn't find out about CL sooner and that I wish it wasn't all booked. Also, that it is really a shame that we couldn't book the safari because we couldn't get CL

BT--Thanks for the link to the Princess Tea, I don't know if Shelby (5) is old enough to really enjoy it or not. I am thinking on this one. I didn't get a PM?
Tinkerbeck--I think the postcards you are refering to are the ones that Disney sends to customers with discount codes on them. It is fairly random and no one is sure how they decide who will get one. I know that I got one last summer with a great rate for deluxe resorts, but I was unable to use it.

You all will be so proud of me, I am still keeping my little secret just that, a secret!! The kids still have no clue.
