How many nights for honeymoon?

I originally was thinking, 4 nights at AKL, 4 nights at VWL, and then 5 nights at the Poly. (All on our points, as we are DVC)

Now I am thinking that may be too much
We obviously will be going back to Disney....but only have one honeymoon....What to do, what to do.
And if this makes a difference, we will be honeymooning the first two weeks of December.
Maybe we will knock two nights off...
i would love to hear opinions...

We are going for 22 nights in total, 9 nights at the Poly, 4 night cruise on the Wonder, then 9 nights at the AKL. The first 5 nights are before the wedding. We have the first night, then the last 13 nights on our own (no other family).

So I guess what you are saying is that it's not too long!!

I think for a honeymoon its better to have as long as possible so you can relax more rather than just rushing to the rides.

Ditto what she said! We did 5 nights at BCV, 2 nights at the Contemporary, 5 nights at AKV, and one night at the Grand Floridian - so about 2 weeks - and I loved having so much time to relax after the wedding!

I don't think it's too long at all - we've got 24 nights in total.

2 in a villa, 5 at the Boardwalk, 5 at POR and then 12 nights in the villa again.

We have people coming over from the UK so won't be on our own until the 12 nights in the villa. We can't wait to spend time with the people who are coming but we want time on our own too!

Similar to Chilly (hello Chilly ) we have 5 nights before the wedding when we arrive.

We're only doing 6 nights not sure of resort yet. DFi will run out of vacation time, so we have to go home. We're planning a non-disney trip around that Christmas, and a trip to Disneyland that next spring. He's considering it a way extending our honeymoon.
I don't relax well, or sit still. We're comando tourists, and most likely will spend our honeymoon the same way (just splurging on resort, food, and activities) We're planning some sort of tour almost everday and a nice "relaxing" dinner in the evening.

Same here, 6 nights AND we're bringing my 2 daughters, 21 & 14. NO their not staying with us , we're getting 2 studios at the Boardwalk Villas. We loved our last trip to DW but found ourselves saying (ALL the time) "Gee, the girls would be having a blast if they were here!" So, we've extended the invite to DP's sister, hubby & nephew. We just said, hey this is OUR disneymoon, so let's all meet up for dinner but we're on our own for most of it!!

We stayed at AKL for 10 days/9 nights. I found it to be the perfect amount of time. We got to take our time seeing and doing everything. We fit in a bunch of tours. We did rope drope pretty much every morning. And by the end I was sad to go home, but ready to get back home to our puppy

We're going back to AKL for either 8 or 9 nights in May for our one year anniversary.

Now I just need to convince DH that we need to just buy into DVC already!

We did 7 nights at POR and 4 nights on Wonder. We left for our honeymoon the day after our wedding (which was at home, not at Disney) and as much as I envy the idea of these 20+ night trips I am hearing about, we were SOOOO exhausted after our 11 nights. I think if I had done a longer trip I would definitely need some park free days, just to nap and sit by the pool or something. But hey if you can afford it and have the vacay time, an extended period of time in Disney couldn't possibly ever be a bad thing!!

We are going to be there for a total of 2 weeks as well 5 nights before the wedding at OKW, 2 nights GF and then 8 nights at AKV all on our DVC points with the exeption of 1 night we received free for filling our room block.

Just a thought for you - we have DVC as well and we converted some of our points for 1 night at the GF to extend our wedding night stay and I will tell you it uses sooooo much of your points to convert them. If you are going to stay at the Poly my suggestion is to pay cash for that and save your points. We had to use 1/2 of our use year points (79) for the 1 night - if I had really stopped to think about it we would not have used them and paid cash instead.

Due to the time of year we are getting married, right after Thanksgiving, our wedding is on Dec 2, 2010, we will be arriving on November 30th, attending to last minute preparations, steaming of wedding dress, bridesmaid dress,suits & getting marriage license etc.. we will be at Disney for 5 nights, I know for sure Dec 1st & 2nd we will be at GF, after that we don't know if we should move to the hotel that family will be at, because we do not see our families that much during the year and also we are already booked on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise, that will actually be our honeymoon.

Both Alex and I who are the 20+ girls are coming from the UK so it actually makes more sense for us to stay longer and we are very lucky that we get a lot more holiday time than you do in the states.

Any honeymoon long or short will be magical.

We are going to have quite a few non park days during our trip - I don't think I could handle all that much park!

We're also lucky that we are staying for our final 10 days in a villa with a pool so we can relax there if we feel like it. We get the best of both worlds really, 10 nights on property and the luxury of a private villa enigher of which we have done before.
