Cool…!!!
I don’t remember all the players from way back when, but he’s definitely one I remember.
His college coach gave him the nickname “Penguin” because of his slow, waddling running gate…!
When we lived in No Cal back in the day, we went to Oakland A’s games, and always had seats in the lower part of the upper deck looking straight down the left field line.
I remember George Brett, of the KC Royals, hitting a ball that curved so much it initially looked like it was headed into left center field, but ended up dumping over the wall just inside the foul pole for a homer, and there was almost no breeze that day…!!!
