Well we're finally getting down to it, we're at 13 days and counting until our first vacation at the Polynesian! We've been feverishly planning and plotting and changing...and I think we're finally done making changes! We will be departing on our 17 hour drive from IL in just 11 days for sunny FL. Oy, a 17 hour drive. *sigh*

That sort of reminds me of Gilligan's Island. Except a 17 hour tour just sounds WRONG. All family car trips should be restricted to numbered hours of one syllable, then they would fit into a fun little ditty. But then again, look where they all ended up anyway. I love the beach but I have no idea how to make a coconut radio.

Sorry, I got a little off topic there. I tend to go off on more rabbit trails than Alice sometimes.

So meet the cast of characters:
First we have DS(6) Jackson, my extra special, differently abled, Cars lovin' little man. The only thing that comes close to his love for Cars is his Nintendo DS and the monorail. It lit up his life when he got to ride in the front with the driver...I haven't had the heart to tell him he can't this time!

Next up DD(4) Faith. Faith has been told that she was a princess since the day she was born and hasn't seen any reason that she should deviate from that title (though there are times that her temper indicates otherwise). Since discovering Hannah Montana she has also decided that she is a pop star/diva in training.

Now we have my mother...DG(age undisclosed under threat of death). This is Grammy...and I pity the one who calls her Grandma or Granny. My love for Disney has been instilled in me from a very young age, my 4th birthday present from my parents was a trip to Disney Land. She turned around and did the very same for my DD on her 4th b-day too. IMO I don't know of a better Grammy to be found! (I could be slightly biased :) )

Next is Misty(31) (DP). DP didn't quite know what she was getting herself into when she said "Sure, let's go to Disney!" She knew I was nuts for Disney but she didn't quite realize the extent...but she's been a good sport. It's her first trip to Disney since a high school band trip! My mother and I are seeking to convert her to our Disney based religion.

And last but not least, myself Heather(30). I've been planning this trip with my mother since December of last year :) Right after we left AKL in November! I can't imagine being anything less than ecstatic in the happiest place on earth and I can hardly sleep at night ALREADY!

Our trip at Disney begins September 26 - September 30. Not nearly long enough, but I'm just excited to be able to go again! This will be our first Food and Wine Festival and our first MNSSHP! The 2 things that I have wanted to be able to do at Disney more than any other! (Except living in the castle of course.) And I get to do them both in one trip! We're attending MNSSHP on Tuesday (9/29) and I'm lucky enough to go to the F&WF for a date night with DP while DG has a fun night with the kids. (Thanks mom!)

So here are our plans:

Arriving first thing Saturday morning (9/26) to drop our stuff at the Poly and speed off to HS. This is always a must do for us first thing b/c a "must-have" for the kids is a temporary tattoo . Later that afternoon we will go back to the Poly for a few, before we head off to an early dinner at The Coral Reef Restaurant and head to Spectromagic that night. The Coral Reef is a first for all of us!

Sunday is our MK day! We don't make too many plans when we go to MK other than just to have fun! We have dining ressies at Whispering Canyon Cafe that evening. Also a first for us!

Monday morning is AK for all of us before date night that evening. DG and the kids will be dining at 1900 Park Fare that night. The kids LOVED this one last time. We will be off to EP for F&W festival yummies, topped off with Teppan Edo late that night. Another first for me!

Tuesday is our MNSSHP night, so we plan on enjoying the pool at the Poly before our fun filled night! Yummy brunch planned at Ohana!

Wedneday DG will be departing :sad1: but we'll have one more day in the parks before leaving that night, but we're going to play it by ear before deciding where to go that day!

I'll be updating with pictures soon!

Good job lil girl! Are you packing yet? It's not too soon to start...hehehe!

Can't wait! Gonna be a great time and in the end...all our planning will pay off.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
