Seems everyone has someone in thier group with a device that registers how many steps you take. iPhones can do it. Fitbits and pedometers. But I don't believe most of them are very accurate. I see posts of 12,14 and even 16 miles walked in a day. I'm doubting it.
Doing a little math, my iPhone calculates 2.87 feet per step. Maybe if I'm out speed walking. But in the parks I barely get one foot in front of the other. When you stand in line, it registers just about every lean left and right. Hardly a 2.87 foot step! And just the vibration in some rides register on the step count. I've checked.
So keeping all that in mind, how far do you REALLY think you walk in a day ?
