Sorry couldn't resist;)
Alright, some of y'all are being unnecessarily cruel--but I'll forgive you cause I'm moving to central Florida in a few years myself!!

680 door to door... We've done it in 81/2 hours (breaking laws) usually do it in 10 hours.

I just looked it up on Map Quest, and we are a 1320 mile drive from WDW now. We were 600 when we were stationed in Ga., and 2600 when in Ca. I guess we'll need at least 2 full days for driving.......................

We are 600 miles away, we leave Thursday for our first ever drive down pulling our camper. Although I am very excited about our week at Ft. Wilderness I can not tell you how bad I dread that drive. We usually leave at 6am and arrive at our Disney resort around 3:30 but pulling the camper I really don't know how long it will take us. We plan on leaving at 4:30 to try to make up the difference (input from the "experienced" welcome) Okay, tell the truth guys, how bad is it pulling the camper that distance and how RV friendly are the gas stations off of 95? (Are we going to spend alot of time looking for RV friendly gas stations that we can get around in? Thanks in advance for your input!

Morgid: check the Flying J website. They are very rv friendly and they show a location in Georgia and one in Florida that looked to me to be on 1-95. That should just about get you home to FW!

Enjoy your trip and your vacation--there's no place like FW!!

Thanks Campingcorgi I'll check that web site. You have a great time as well.
I'm still waiting for some of you to tell me what to expect on this long haul.

from norristown PA to WDW it is 1018 miles and takes us just under 16 hours.

by the way - this website is great for driving directions. It gives time markers along the way and lots of cool info. I use it more than any other direction/map website. www.freetrip.com

Morgid:
My suggestion IMHO is just take your time. Check your connections and tire pressure every time you stop. I pull a 36' fifth wheel all over the east coast with no problems and it usually is just myself and my kids. I like to stop at the Flying Js, and some of the nicer truckstops. Most gas stations are big enough to pull an RV into, but unfortunately not all. We stop at rest areas alot during our trips, just to freshen up a bit and stretch.
Have a safe and wonderful vacation...:D

My thanks to all of you for your help. We're off to play with Mickey and his friends!

mapquest says 989.5 miles for us (each way), but with side trips it's usually more like 1100.

Well so far I think we will drive the farthest. We travel 2800+ miles one way. I think it is well worth the trip too! So much to see on the way! We do have a very beautiful & diverse country!

It's about 900 miles for us. Takes us from 16-18 hours. Driving there isn't so bad, but the trip home takes days!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 1330 miles door to door for us! It takes us 21 hours of driving time, but with 2 little ones (one recently potty trained) it consistently takes us 24 hours to get there.
