How many miles do you drive to work?

I guess as Disney would say it's a small world after all!

We moved here about 10 years ago and would not give up the open space for anything. Far enough but not too far from civilization.
I don't blame you. It is a beautiful area. :thumbsup2

My office is next to Hersheypark and the Giant Center in Hershey PA. 22 miles each way, almost all highway. Depending on traffic it takes between 30-40 minutes each way.

On Fridays, I telecommute, so the the trip is from my bedroom on the second floor to my office in the basement. Lends new meaning to "Casual Fridays"

:banana::rotfl2::banana:

SWMBO, on the other hand, has a 6 mile commute.

Each way? How long does it take you?

.0094697 or .0056818 miles depending on whether I'm working in my basement on the main floor. My bedroom is 50' from my basement work area and 30' to the garage/outdoor first floor area.

Being Retired does have it's advantages.

I got my drive down to 15 miles each way now. Good thing with the gas prices. :thumbsup2

What kinda fuel mileage do you get ? :lmao:

DH drives 120 miles round trip. I work here at home, so I guess he makes up for both of us.

Used to be 7.5 km each way about 10 mins and that includes hitting the drive thru for my morning fix. I will let you know when i get another job how far that one is.

Good luck, pixiedust: I hope your neck of the north woods is better than finding a good job here.

Thanks Denise. I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

Not good and if I did the math right ... approx .265 mpg(c) [that miles per gallon of coffee:goodvibes] (that is based on a R/T to/fm the coffee pot of approz .126mi and a 6 oz mug of coffee).:rotfl2::lmao: Now the cost per mile is a heck of a lot cheaper than fuel now days:rotfl:

Now when I worked in Crystal City which is right next to Reagan Airport it was a 30mi one way trip and in the A.M leaving around 5 it took around 45min, but in the evening it was anywhere from a 1 to 2+ hour commute home if I left at 3 to get on I-66 before the HOV 2 kicked in.

25 steps to my easel on my days off from Publix and 10 miles eachway when I have to go there. I also work as a wildlife control agent and Ive driven as far as 250 miles to do a job there

Zip, nada, zero. I'm retired and lovin' not having to get up to go to work anymore. Love saving that gas money for my Disney fix.
