How many Michigan DVC's are there?

I graduated from Ply-Salem, so I know right where the HS's are!

Daughter #1 graduated from Salem in 1999 and daughter #2 from Salem in 2002. I'm so close to the high schools that I can sit on my front porch and hear the marching band practice every night. Have you seen the new HS behind Salem and Canton HSs (Plymouth HS)? I can't believe that they have 3 HSs at the "Park" now.

I grew up in Livonia (Franklin HS) and my wife was raised in Dearborn Heights (Livonia Ladywood).

Gary,
I was in the band. My senior year was the first year we won Nationals. I was at the new high school for an alumni band concert in February. It's great!

I was just at PCEP on Tuesday for a Drum Corp Show!

Maybe it's time we organized a DVC MI group meet!!

This is too funny!!
My DH graduated from Plymouth Salem too!!! Class of 1983:D He grew up in the N. Territorial & Gotfredson area.
I grew up in Reford twp., went to Thurston:D

A MI DVC meet is a great idea Pinnie!!!!

Wow....from February of '03 to June of '04! It's been awhile since anyone has posted to this thread! In fact, February of '03 was the exact month we joined DVC! We had just returned from a Disney Cruise on Feb 1st. and we took the plunge!

It's been great although we've only had one trip to BCV so far. Our next trip is scheduled for February.

BTW, we live in Bloomfield Hills...I grew up on Roseville and my husband grew up in Royal Oak and Adrian.

We tried to talk my cousin into buying but they opted to build a cottage up north. Worked out well though, because they've invited us to stay there anytime so we're inviting them to join us at BVC in February. Guess you could say we've got the best of both worlds!

Angie,

Both of my daughters were in the PCMB. My eldest played clarinet her freshman year and then mellophone for her last 3 years. My youngest played saxophone for 4 years. She was in the band when they won their last national championship in 1999. We were involved with the mb for 7 straight years - my wife and I sold Nationals tickets for those years. Great memories - both daughters made life-long friends by being in the band.

We weren't able to attend the DCI show this past week unfortunately.

Gary,
If you want, e-mail me off the thread. AngelaL350@aol.com

There is a LOT of alumni events going on with the band. I would like to let your daughters know, if they dont' already. The PCMB is the best. My best memories of Michigan are being in the band.

Lars624 - I grew up in Brighton. Have you lived there long? I still go there often to see the folks, but I'm in West Michigan now.

Small word. Shall I sing?

We've been here about 10 years:D
We LOVE the area!!!
Things have built up sooo much it's amazing!

I still consider myself a Michigander. We lived in Saginaw for 62 years before moving to Wisconsin to be near family. Still go back to Frankenmuth each year to go to Zenders and Bonners. :)

We live in Shelby Twp.

Only have driven once. And booked a flight today for august, only $156/person. why fly when its that cheap on Northwest?

Hey are any of you Bryce's parents???? I know its a long shot but we have not talked to him in a few years.

Wow, just imagine how many 'Michigan Members' there will be when this thread turns 2...

We're from Williamston and joined back in early 2003. I tried to get my wife to join back when we came for her birthday in '99, but she didn't think we'd go that much...

Now we have four kids from 1 to almost 6 and I wish I had twice as many points. We've borrowed from next year twice since March and I'm wondering what we'll do once all our points are gone with a year to go...

See you in Orlando!

Howdy neighbors.
We live in Shelby Twp., just south of the Regency Hills subdivision (24 & Dequindre).
BTW, we ALWAYS fly. Since we joined DVC in 2003, we have been to HHI, VB, and VWL. Long story made short, I and DS6 have flown out of TOL, FNT and SDF (in that order), while DW and DS3.75 have flown out of DTW, FNT and SDF (DW had FF flight on NWA out of DTW).

Hi dave, I grew up in Shelby. I lived at 21 and VanDyke.

I think it is funny how my old thread got started again.

Hi to all MI DVC'ers out there. I can't wait until the next trip. October this time and our first stay at VWL.

Hey there - Just wanted to add my name to the Michigan list.

We live in Sterling Heights and joined about two years ago.

My wife's sister and parents are also members from Sterling Heights.
