Just curious. I think we easily go through 15-18 loads a week.

It just blows my mind!!

That is with 3 kids and the 2 of us, plus pets and while they dont actually WEAR the clothes sure seem to dirty enough of them

About a load a day, on average, with 4 of us (the 1 year old probably oges through the most clothes, but they're smaller, so they don't take much space in the washer. :teeth: )

There are 3 of us and most of DH's work clothes either go to the cleaners or get Dryelled so I'd say we top out at about 4-5 loads a week.

Just the two of us and a load a day.... I try not to let it pile up so I do a little each day.

I picked 5-10 but during the summer it may be one or two more due to pool towels. There are 3 of us..hubby, me and 9yo dd. No pets now.

2 loads of sheets
1 load of extras like blankets and such (dd likes to use these to play with)--this isn't every week
3 loads of towels ( I usually can add a few towels to each sheet load so that cuts down on towels)
4-5 loads of clothing--we live where it is hot so shorts and tees are the norm here. Doesn't take as much space in the washer.

I do have a large capacity washer.

Writing it down like that makes me think I should try and cut it down a bit. Would help with that massive electric bill.

On average, I do three loads of our wash, one of the baby's, one of towels, one of sheets, and 2 diaper loads a week. Plus every three weeks I do DH's uniforms in a separate load. And, uh, once a month, a bleached load. I try to do a load a day so it's not overwhelming!!

Wow, we must be doing something wrong. There are only three of us in my house, and we easily do 10-15 loads of laundry a week! And we're all adults.

Just last Saturday I did 9 loads and that was just towels, sheets and whites. I hadn't even touched the actual clothes that we wear. I think part of the problem is that we wear a set of clothes to work, come home and change into jeans, and then at night change into pajamas. And they all go into the laundry. That's three sets of clothes a day times three people. We've got to cut down!

Of course, I haven't been able to do laundry in a week because of the flooding in the basement. All of the laundry is sitting in the upstairs hall in pillowcases. Plus all of the stuff that was IN the basement before the water hit. I don't even want to think about it. :sad2:

We average 10. 3 + loads of cold 4+ loads of warm at least 1 towels and 1 sheets. All done at one time because I hate doing one load at a time then your never really done with that icky chore.

There are 4 of us all with bigger clothes, lots of jeans.

Wow! We must be frugal with clothes washing! There are 3 of us, and in an avg week, we do 5 loads. 2 darks, 1 whites, 1 reds, and 1 towels/sheets.

I'm NEVER done with laundry. 3 kids + 2 adults = mountains of laundry! My son is the biggest mess you ever saw, my older 2 change when they get home as does DH, and everyone thinks that a towel used once is a towel that needs to be washed. You were clean when you used it for heaven's sake, hang it up and use it again! Sorry, pet peeve!

Anyway, I said 15-20, but I think there are weeks that we go over, esp. in the winter with heavy clothes and socks............ oh, don't get me started on the socks....................

I don't do laundry.

We have about 7 loads a week but I'm a master at shoving as many clothes into my front-loader washer as I can. :rotfl: Keeps the number of loads I have to do to a minimum. I also don't separate colors/whites/etc---that's what Color Catcher sheets are for! :thumbsup2 Plus, 3 of my kids are in uniforms all day, then change into pjs when they get home, which cuts down on some of the laundry as well.

My Answer is TOO MANY...Ive never actually counted. I guessed between 10-15. I can easily do 1 load a day, many days I do 2 and 3 loads. We have 3 kids and 3 dogs. It seems the dogs mess up our clothes just with their hair, meaning, we dont wear clothes 2 days in a row due to dog hair.

It's just me and I do one load I combine my whites and darks every 3 weeks. I also do a load with my sheets and towels then as well. I couldn't imagine doing that much laundry a day isn't that when you get to the point where you want another set of washers and dryers?

Even back when I was in high school and living at home and there were four of us we only did a few loads a week. I would do the laundry for my mom. Couldn't imagine doing that much laundry every single day!

I voted 10 to 15, but I wash many items alone and I did not include them. I didn't figure 1 shirt = a load.

I'm sure there are weeks when I do less and I'm sure there are weeks when I do more, especially when you're washing curtains, blankets, ball caps (my son needs these washed routinely) and any other things that aren't part of your weekly laundry.

I mix NOTHING. I will not even wash a sock with a white shirt. Socks give off lint and it puts fuzz balls on other clothing. My daughter actually still wears a few things from 3 and 4 years ago (she grew fast, but really slowed down the past couple of years and she's now 14) that still fit and they look at new as the clothes she's bought recently, so my extra work does pay off at times. BTW, I never use chlorine bleach either as it makes whites turn yellow after awhile.

Too Many - On average 1 load a day unless the kids are told to clean their rooms, then the laundry pile grows by leaps and bounds.

We have 4 of us plus a dog and do a max of 8 loads a week. None of us have jobs that require a change of clothes during the day. We wear pants and pajamas more than one day.

Usually its one load of white, one medium, two dark loads, two or 3 loads of sheets and towels. The last load I try to rotate through various blankets etc. that only need occasional washing.

I don't know my loads-per-week, but 6 people changing clothes at least once a day is 12 different sets of clothes (at a minimum) per day. Not to mention jammies, towels, and sheets. I do laundry every day.

Wow! I must say I'm surprised at how much laundry everyone is doing!

We generate about 4 loads a week:

1 load darks
1 load whites
1 load towels/linens
1 load "extra" (sometimes more clothes, sometimes more towels, sometimes special projects like blankets, drapes, etc.)
