Fair point, and an idea for a separate poll. The FP+ limit really only hurts me in one park - MK. The tiering hurts me in 2 parks, but not the limit of 3.

The issues do seem to be different in every park.

MK most will agree the limit of 3 is a big deal.

DHS and Epcot it's the tiering. At DHS we are really hit with the "no repeats".

At AK for us it's all about "no repeats".

I have pulled 7 or more at MK before they began enforcing return times. It was still possibe after they began enforcing return times, but much harder. And I never got close to 9/day in any other park. So, again, I do not believe the 9/day avaerage in WDW.

The poll doesn't distinguish between parks. It just says how many fp's do you use on average. There are lots of folks who may only go to MK or only go to Epcot, etc....that's what they may be basing their averages on anyways.

Like I said, there is nothing that anyone could say that would make me believe it.

I have a friend that swears that she lives in a haunted house, has seen/heard ghosts, etc. She is convinced - she is not lying - but I just don't believe it. :littleangel:

I would say 4-6 on a given day. But comparing the numbers to FP+ is really apples/oranges imho. I was not restricted to a specific park and I was also not restricted to a certain tier. So to me a change from the old way to the digital new way is more than just a method of delivery change.

To put it another way, in certain parks I feel like FP+ really screws the folks who used to pull a lot of paper FP. Example: You basically only get one real FP at Epcot.

I get your point. When you average out all the parks, it could be difficult to consistently pull 9+ FPs in each of the 4 parks.

However, you do believe that it was possible to average 9 in MK, right?

Yes, I do, but it would have to be a focus to make it happen. I am sure that we hit that number once or twice in our trips. But in well over a hundred days in MK, probably not more than a few times. But it is/was absolutely possible during the times of year that we travel.

I think that most people would be pretty happy with 5 - but the tiering and inability to double up on a favorite ride would still be frustrating to many. I like the idea of allowing a person to pre-book 3, then add up to an additional 2 once in the parks.

I would be happy with either 5 or allowing me to pull additional ones for any ride once in the park.

My system would be as follows.

1. Keep the three FP+ advance system in place with the tiers. I have no issue with that.

2. Once in the park, I can pull any FP I want if its available and does not interfere with one of my advance selections. For example, if I have Soarin scheduled for 10-11, the system would not allow me to pull anything for that time frame. However, I could pull a Soarin FP for 9-10 or 11-12 if available.

3. Once I pulled a FP while in park, the same rules apply as they do now. I cannot get another one until the window on the one I pulled opens up or two hours. Whichever comes first.

To me, this would combine the best of both worlds. Those wanting to schedule three in advance and sleep in could do so. Those wanting to still go commando and show up for RD could also do so to maximize their rides.

MK easily 8. Grab FP Dumbo, ride the barnstormer, ride dumbo, ride pooh, FP Dumbo, grab another FP dumbo, ride PP, the. Small World, FP dumbo, grab another FP for Dumbo, ride little Mermaid, ride carrousel, FP Dumbo. Yep we were on the dumbo, dumbo and more dumbo touring plan.

I understand where your coming from. But this is never going to happen. Disney only wants one system not two. I think a good idea would be you can pick your three advances FP+ and once your in the park you can go on your phone or to a kiosk and get two more or something like that. My guess is this will come but in a way that you have to pay for it and it's not included. As for myself I've never used more than 3 in a day so this is okay for me. My last vacation I only used one my entire trip and I went in July. Some of the standby lines I like and will wait in them. I will not wait for a ride if it's over an hour. I will not wait for most rides except TSMM or something like that for more than 45 minutes. But I don't think waiting in a 10-20 minute line is unreasonable. But hey that's just me. I think you need to go in to Disney thinking your going to wait in lines whether for food, shows, or rides.

This would be my perfect plan too! Extra ones day of and only if you are in the park they are for (thus allowing you to hop!)

Another one depending on the park.

And also they weren't issuing FP's for the majority of rides so what's available now especially with tiering at DHS and Epcot is quite a change in itself.

Epcot - 2 to 5 depending on season (TT, Soarin'. Sometimes Maelstrom and part of the party would often get a Mission Space and sometimes Living with the Land but that was rare to use).

DHS - 4-5 ToT (2), RnR, TSM and Star Tours

AK - 3-4 (1 or 2 Safari) and 2 EE

MK - 5-7 Buzz (1 or 2), SM (2), BTM (2) and every now and then one for JC, PP or Splash.

And of course dependent on when we entered the park but this was how it would go if we got there sometime around 10am. We preferred to work with the system that they had and pick up FP's and either eat, attend shows or go on rides that do not have lines instead of waiting in lines for the attractions I listed.
