How many inflatables are too many?

Ooohhh, pretty.

anybody see the hidden mickey???

Yes, one. I hate seeing all the "dead" inflatables lying in the yard during the day. How Christmaslike is that?

I'm not a fan so one is one too many. I always thought they made your front lawn look like a used car lot. But you wanna know what looks even worse? I live in a neighborhood in Queens where most everyone either lives in an apartment building or in two family/two floor row-house brownstone type homes (that's what we have). There are some folks who live on the second floor of these homes that have these little uncovered porch like things. Some family will SQUEEEEEEEEZE those blow up things onto the porch and let 'em fly, all puffed up and shoved in front, the edges oozing over the tops. Looks hilarious, sad and a little tacky in a "what are they thinking" sort of way.

Merry puffed up Christmas!

Now that's something I'd like to see. An inflatable with a muffin top! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I wanted to add from my post yesterday, that not only do we have two inflatables, but I forgot to mention that one of them also has speakers and plays Christmas carols.....I thought that would put all of you that don't like them over the edge!

Most kids would LOVE to wear pajamas to school and eat nothing but chocolate chip cookies but I doubt most would let them do that on a daily basis. Sure, kids think inflateables are cool but that doesn't mean you have to have one.

I think they are cheap looking and tacky, personally. The Santa one street over from me is humping the grass all day. If you are determined to force your neighbors to look at it, at least actually inflate it 24 hours a day so your yard doesn't look so trashy.

Wow..

I don't mind them, except when the owners leave them limp on the lawn during the day.

This is the part I seriously don't get.. Is there a reason they need to deflate them every night? I asked earlier on, and no one answered.. I would really like to know because when I see them that way it really does look like a pile of trash on the lawn.. If I knew there was a legitimate reason, then possibly I could understand and get over my aversion to them..:confused3

I think you need a :grouphug:

Have a great holiday!

They run on a motor. You can't leave the motor on 24/7. It will burn out.

I think however many the homeowner wants to have they should have. It's their house, not mine. I try not to grinch in on anyone's Christmas joys.

From what I've seen around here, lots of people are putting them on their roofs. So very tacky.

:sad1:

We don't do it. We don't have any but I love seeing them! They make me smile. I think they're festive, not tacky. Guess everyone is different.
