How many go more than once in a year? Non-locals

We're in Oregon, and we go twice a year.

We only get once a year but if my hubby could take more time off we would so be there more we also live in WA and for us it's a quick 16 to 17 hour drive with 4 of us driving now it is an easy drive before it was mostly me!!!
Go and have a blast for all of us Washingtonians who can only make it once a year!!!

I know how you feel:headache: My husband, myself and our 2 girls live in Washington (Spokane area) and enjoy going to Disneyland (I grew up in Ventura, CA). Everyone gives us their opinion about us going so often (1-2 times per year) but you know what, it is your family and you will always have those memories. We do without boats, snowmobiles and a bigger house because we feel vacations are important. What it really comes down to is choices. So you go girl and keep making those memories.:thumbsup2

JMHO- who cares what others say.

One year we went 3 times in 6 months, it was fabulous!

We live in SF bay area and we do all we can to go at least twice a year. This year might be three times if I can work it out. :thumbsup2

If it makes your family happy to go, then go.

As far as a comment back... I would tell them it makes our family happy and this is what we like /want to do.

We live in Canada...Last year we went to DL twice and WDW for christmas, it was fantastic...We leave in 4 days to DL and also are going in the summer as well as in October...Disney rocks :)

We live in Washington too. We have AP's and have been 3 times in the past year...and really want (NEED) to go back again!

I thought we needed a Disney break...so I have planned a trip to Hawaii...and now we all are feeling we need to go back to Disneyland. Three times in year isn't enough! LOL! :rotfl:

I 100% understand the comments you get from friends and family....it gets slightly embarrassing when people find out you are taking "another" trip to Disneyland. They don't understand....we all on this board totally understand....that is why we gather here! I cannot express in words the feeling I have when I walk throught the turnstiles. But, it is kind of like.....All is right with the world once again!

Ignore the comments, and do what YOU want (or in some cases, NEED) to do!

We live 7 hours away and we go whenever possible. It doesn't hurt that DH works four tens and so we can often take mid-week three day trips.

I get a lot of flak from my mom who thinks we need to broaden our horizons and take vacations elsewhere, but if you have APs and only three days, you can't get a better deal. We usually get 2 half days and a whole day. No one else bothers to criticize. Probably because they know I don't care what they think.

So far this year, we have been to WDW in April, DLR in May and we will be for sure going in October for DH's family reunion. I'm hoping to squeeze in a day in June (we'll be visiting family), and possibly trips in Sept and Dec. I haven't even looked at 2010 yet...

DH and I have APs and we live in Washington state. We'll be taking our third trip in a year this september. When we tell friends that we are going most of them say "AGAIN?". It used to irk me, now I just think they're jealous. As long as you can afford it why not go somewhere that makes you and your family happy. There may come a time when my kids might feel they are too old for Disney, but for now we will enjoy it to the fullest!

Haven't read the whole thread but I've been an AP for 4 years and go at least 3 times a year, usually more. I just got back from a 3 day trip to celebrate my 60th birthday and will be going again in a week with my nephew (also an AP).

This past weekend (my birthday trip) I was there 2 1/2 days and only rode the monorail, the train and Toy Story Mania. I spent all the rest of the time going to shows, listening to bands, strolling, eating at Blue Bayou, just meandering.

I get all kinds of gas from family and friends but...I couldn't care less! I love DL!

No one has ever said "again" to us going. But I think if they did, I would turn it around and ask where they like to go on vacation.

Actually, my co-worker with the DLR addict daughter like me, takes more abuse for NOT liking Disneyland. Even our pastor made a funny comment about it. I guess I'm in a pro-DLR area! :rotfl:

We live in Northern California and have 3 or 4 trips planned this year. We bought APs during our early May trip, are going again in Aug before school starts, possibly back in Dec and then a week in April before our APs expire. They great thing about multiple trips is that you don't feel as rushed and can just enjoy the beautiful parks, restaurants and Disney magic!
We bought into DVC, and now with APs, our tickets and room are already paid for. Once the Villas open we'll be able to eat/cook in our room and save lots of money on food.
Can't wait to go back in Aug and also take a day trip out to the beach!

What??? You mean SWA Ding fares weren't invented for more trips to DL???

We seem to be going 2 - 4 times per year. We just took a girls trip the end of April and are planning on going mid-Oct. Trips are usually for 3 nights and we don't like the long drive down I-5 anymore.

Took the family last July, going again in 10 days. So twice in one year. The second trip is actually a lot less expensive and we are staying at GCH. can't wait to go again!

This is why I love The DIS Boards.... We go at least 4-5 times a year and it would be more if I can get the time off work. This board is where I feel acceptance and not jugged in a weird way for loving Disneyland so much. I get the look when I tell family members or friends "YOUR GOING AGAIN" everybody here has a piece of Disney in there hearts and the people not on this board will never understand what the places means to me and all my other fellow DISERS. Even my wife says DL again and I say well I could go by myself and be perfectly happy but it makes the experience so much better with my family by my side because I love the smile on my son and wife's face when they are enjoying themselves and forget about the real world out there. So my wife asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said I WANT TO GO TO DISNEYLAND lol like a little kid and she happily agreed!! WOooooWHooOoO :cool1:
