How many friends do you have?

My youngest sister is my best friend but I have 3 other close non-relative friends.

My best friend, Nancy, and I have been friends for 55 years!! I was three and she was two when our parents moved in next door to each other. It's 55 years later and Nancy and her husband still live only two miles from me. We have been close our whole lives and I love her like a sister.

In addition to Nancy, I have six more very close friends. Since my husband died last year, these people have been there for me in so many ways. I can't begin to describe what these friendships mean to me and how helpful they have been.
