How many express passes should I buy?

Hi all,

I am looking for some advice. There are 5 people in my party. DH, DD8, DD5, me and my Dad. We are scheduled to visit universal (both parks) the first week in August.

I was wondering would it be best to
just buy express passes for my Dad and DH so they can go off on the fast rides while I take the girls round to Barney etc.

Or shall i get express passes for all?

Any thoughts? And thanks in advance. X

EPs help with almost everything. Including Barney. If you would like to minimize the length of time everyone is waiting in line, get the EPs for all. If the younger ones are the ones who don't mind waiting 30 minutes for the carousel in Suess-land (for example, but I'm not saying that's what the line WILL be), then don't.

I'm guessing it's a bit late to see about an onsite hotel room with the included EP (2 days of EP for 1 night onsite)?
