My DH wants to take the fishing excursion at 9 am, parasail at around 2 and possibly do the banana boat before we have board. :earseek: First of all -- can you sign up for that many excursions? And second -- isn't that bit much? I will have the whole morning to relax and enjoy the beach, but I am wondering about him.

I really enjoy hearing from all you more seasoned cruisers:wave2:

Jennifer,
I'm sure you can sign up for as many excursions as you would like to, but keep in mind that you don't really have a lot of time to enjoy Castaway Cay, about 7 hours(may seem like a long time, but it FLIES by, believe me!). I would try to convince your DH to pick one that he really wants to do and enjoy the rest of the day. Keep in mind, it's the last stop before the cruise is over :(

You can certainly do all the things you mentioned but you'll be missing the beauty and solitude of Serenity Bay, the adults only area. We swam and saw a live star fish! It was so peaceful and wonderful! Take time to enjoy it!

Thank you soooo much for responding:) I am going to try to talk him into the parasailing only. But we'll see. I know I'm going to enjoy the beauty of the island.

Thanks again:wave2:

Last year my DD and I did parasailing in the morning(10:30) and BBR in the afternoon(2:30). We enjoyed the beach in between those two excursions. The parasailing takes about one hour, and the BBR about 20 minutes. I think adding in a fishing excursion, would be really pushing it, time wise, IMHO.

Don't forget, you have to add lunch time in there as well!!!

Even though the ship doesn't sail until 5PM and all aboard is listed as 4:30PM, they really start trying to move everyone back to the ship between 3PM and 3:30PM. It sounds like there may be too many excursions for one day.

I booked the bottom fishing for my DH in May. The boat didn't leave until 10:00 to take the out because DCL didn't let passengers off the ship until 9:30, by the time you actually get off the ship it's 9:45. It was just my DH and another guy who booked the excursion so when they both arrived they took off. I think he got back around 1:00.

So...just be careful not to over schedule with the excursions.
