Outside of Mechanicsburg, 10 mi. south of Harrisburg. We have driven a few times but DH says "never again" and we always fly now, sometimes out of HIA and sometimes out of BWI. We just got back 3 weeks ago from a fabulous 8 day stay at the BCVs with family. My DH & I are going back in Oct. for F&WF staying at the BWVs and then with family next March for spring break staying at OKW. I get depressed if I don't have at least one trip in the planning stage!

Cool! Lots of folks from the Philly and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre areas... my partner and I are in the middle between them... Allentown!! I know there's many members around here, just don't know if they read these boards. But at least I'm the first to post!

Hi!!! We live in Coopersburg, close to Allentown. I grew up in Macungie and Dh in Harleysville. Dh and I had been driving to FL for a while after 911 but then, about 2-3 years ago starting flying SW out of PHL. So nice to see all the DVCers from PA!

I have driven a couple of times but it is SO not my preference. My mother is not big on planes but everytime she mentions driving someone volunteers to buy her ticket so she's basically stopped asking.

That said, it wasn't too bad. Left early AM to get past DC before rush hour. Arrive in Orlando around early evening by driving in shifts and check into a hotel off-property for that evening for around $50 and head to the parks early the next morning. When leaving, we stayed the full last day and went back to the hotel after park closing. For one trip, we even went to Cirque Du Soliel the evening prior to checking in.

I'll be back "home" in October and again in December and will be flying both times.

I'm totally with all the flyer's (no pun intended - though GO FLYERS!). I don't like to be in a car that long and too be honest, I'd probably get so many speeding tickets as I would be so excited to get there, my patience wouldn't allow me to "do the limit". LOL!

Let's see, girls weekend in Disney HHI in August, then we're going to Disneyland (DGV) in October for a week, can't wait! Our home is AKV and I just love it!

Taking next year off so that in 2012, we can take my mom and dad, brother, sister-in-law and nieces for a week in September 2012! 3 studio's, savannah views and my nieces first trip to WDW! Lots of firsts on this trip and so looking forward to it. That's really why we bought in DVC so that we can share our excitement with friends and family (when we want to anyway) Already thinking, making plans, etc. DH is ready to kill me since we haven't even left for our week down the shore yet - I guess I'm planning 3-4 vacations out before we take our first! Wow, when I say that out loud, I do sound crazy!
