I was just pondering this question as I thought about the 80-90,000 members there are. Does anyone know how many villas DVC actually has total? All of the resorts: HH, VB, VWL, BCV, BWV, OKW, and SSR (those already available) combined?
Great question. My understanding is that DVC has roughly 2000 rooms "on property" once Saratoga Springs is completed. I have no idea about Vero and HH.
Old Key West Resort 500
Saratoga Springs Spa (when Completed) 828
Boardwalk Villas 383
Beach Club Villas 205
Wilderness Lodge Villas 136
Obviously the room counts can vary depending on how one counts lock-offs. As a Studio and 1-B/R it would be two units, but as a 2-B/R it would be 1 unit. I don't have the breakdown of how the individual units were counted.
These are the numbers DVC has published in the past and are the numbers the point charts are tied to for calculating total resort points.
For what it's worth, the 2005 budget for SSR is based upon 309 units. The actual number in inventory at any given time will fluctuate greatly throughout the year.
